Danimal
I find myself wondering why Baylor can't become great? Do they have higher academic requirements or something? I mean they do reside in one of the best recruiting beds in the country. If South Florida can do it when they didn't even have a program 12 years ago, why can't Baylor? They had a great coach long ago named Grant Teaf. He could coach, motivate, game plan, and recruit back in the SWC days. They havent turned it around since. It wouldnt take as much as it has. They have an amazing baseball program & womens basketball program too. Until a coach comes in and gets these guys to believe in themselves and win, step by step of the way, they wont get the recruits as long as they keep stinking. They get leftovers, which is not a bad thing, but no one is bringing the absolute best out of them. That's what a great coach can do. Get players to believe and overachieve by working them hard and instilling confidence while keeping them motivated and hungry. It takes only one class to get it rolling. Baylor canning Teaf was one of the all-time blunders. Haven't been worth crap since. Hopefully Briles can get things going. Quote Link to comment
