Return of the fullback trap play?

Recommended Posts

I would think with the new staff's emphasis on going back to smash-mouth football that perhaps the fullback will carry the ball three, four, five times a game. I don't know why B.C. refused to run the fullback to help keep the defenses honest. The only time B.C. ran a fullback was when he expermented with Glenn and Castille at the position. Also, to keep the defense honest, I wouldn't be surprised to see Ganz perhaps run two or three options a game.

I agree. We saw some option towards the end there when Callahan was opening it up more.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the FB trap play. It was just so satisfying to see one of our hard nosed and hard working players get rewarded by ripping off a 20 - 30 yard run right up the gut. Really made me feel for a guy who spends 90% of his time taking the damage in front of our RB or absorbing a massive hit to protect the QB an extra 2 secs.

Bring it back, Bo!
