Notre Dame appears to be the early leader. Odds of becoming a Cornhusker: 15% Althought the Huskers wsere the first to offer, as Irish said, with a name like Paddy, did the Huskers really have a chance?? Quote Link to comment
kramer
Nebraska has made sure to keep the letter-writing campaign up with Paddy as that has been the majority of his communication with the Cornhuskers. He does plan to call Kevin Cosgrove, his primary recruiter, this week. On Cosgrove, Mullen said, “I think he’s very professional, he came and visited my varsity football coach who said he’s very good and knows what he’s talking about, that impressed me very much. IrishAZ
I think this was one of those "saw it coming" things. I don't think it's a huge loss for the Huskers though. They've got plenty of nice OL and TE prospects in the works. After getting McCarthy and Quinn last year, adding Mullen to the mix might require a name change from Fightin' Irish to Sinn Fein. IRISH! Washusker
Honestly, were we going to beat out Notre Dame for a guy named "Paddy"? Quote Link to comment
StuckinChicago
have you seen a picture of this guy? he looks kind of scary anyways. I dont know if i want to be with in 500 miles of him, so I guess i wont miss him on the huskers too much. Besides, in two years we will be able to line up Tomerlin and Herian at the same time. Paddy who? Quote Link to comment
IrishAZ
That's the thing about this kid, Stuck. If you dont' want to be within 500 miles of him, imagine the guy who has to line up across from him. Quote Link to comment
kc_husker
The Irish need all the help they can get. Quote Link to comment
IrishAZ
Well, we got a big bump by hiring a staff and HC that know what they're doing and actually spend time on the road recruiting. My insider buddy at NDU tells me that Weis & Co. have spent the same amount of logged travel time already this year as Ty's staff did in all of 2003. That's gotta tell you something. That might end up being Callahan's saving grace - he's not shy about the recruiting trail, no mistake there. IRISH! Quote Link to comment
