easier but still painfull

After reflecting on the game I realized this one was easier to take than anything we had to put up with last year. Our team fought hard all game and never quit. That is progress from last year and with effort like that we will get better. As bad as we played at times we were just a few breaks away from winning that game. Hell until the last fumble we still had a chance even though it was a very small chance to pull it out. We will start winning these close ones sonn and we will be a stronger team.

 

Thank you Huskers fior a breath of fresh air as to how you approach games this year.

I think the only thing that was painful for me was that those little things (arm tackling, miseed assignments, etc) that we've been working on all year so far...actually cost us a game. Other than that, I'm satisfied with the overall outcome.......kinda.

I take solace in the effort displayed and that we only lost by 5 when:

 

-We went -2 in turnovers

-Ran 51 plays to VT's 70 (a 9:30 difference in time of possession)

-committed 4 more penalties

-Displayed mediocre to bad kick coverage
