I would have seen a raucous crowd with great passion for their team. I'd have seen 5 National Championship trophies, some great facilities, a city in love with the university in general and Husker sports in particular, and I would have seen great excitement at a wonderful event. I would have seen coach Ekelar going nuts --- and a coaching staff that is wildly dedicated. I'd have seen an over-matched team never give up, play with heart and grit and fire. I'd have seen what is the seed for something special. It might be two or three years before the players are here that can work the magic --- but if I were a recruit I'd want to play for this staff, at this university, before these fans. So, if you are a recruit --- consider what will emerge some day (in the not-too-distant future) at Memorial Stadium. And be a part of it. Exciting times in Husker Nation lie ahead.
