Glendower
Okay, I was just thinking about this game tonight against MO (I know that we all know it was tonight, but in a few days it won't be... um... never mind) and the uncalled facemasks. I wonder if eliminating the "incidental" call has made refs more unwilling to call a 15 yarder for a "minor" infraction. I think that we saw the opposite effect with the halo rule a few years ago when it became impossible to approach a punt returner. Removing the judgment of the refs, who are well-trained, though not infallible, people, never seems to lead to anything good. Quote Link to comment

You can't even defend a pass play without getting a PI call. QB underthrows a pass and gets rewarded when the db bumps into the receiver etc. etc. College football has bigger worries. Sorry for worrying about things that you think aren't important as something else. Quote Link to comment
NU fan in Denver
Well, that PI call against Anthony West, (i believe, second series,) was completely BS, the defender forced him ob, by good coverage, the ref's f$C*ed us this game, but that is not why we lost. Quote Link to comment
