kramer
100 Greatest College Football Endings Huskers make a few No. 100 Missouri 13 ... Nebraska 12, October 10, 1973 At the time: Missouri had come off three straight losing seasons and was in the midst of a big year with a 4-0 start. Led by head coach Tom Osborne, recent two-time national champion Nebraska came into Columbia ranked number two in the country with a 4-0 record. The setup: The two defenses kept making big plays with Missouri's bending, but not breaking. Time and again Nebraska had shots at scoring only to be burned by turnovers and missed opportunities. Missouri's offense finally got a break on a muffed punt on the Husker four. Tom Mulkey ran for a Tiger touchdown with 2:01 to play for a 13-6 lead. Nebraska roared back scoring on a 22-yard touchdown pass to Rich Bahe with one minute left to play. The ending: Osborne went for two and the win. Husker QB David Humm rolled to his left and had to adjust his throw to get around a charging Tiger defender. The pass didn't have any velocity and floated into the hands of Tiger DB Tony Gillick to seal the Missouri win. How they ended up: Nebraska would only lose once more to an Oklahoma team that finished 10-0-1. The Huskers finished ranked No. 7 with a 9-2-1 record. Missouri struggled four of the final six regular season games before beating Auburn 34-17 in the Sun Bowl to finish 8-4. Quote Link to comment
joshuavacek
I thought the greatest ending was in the fiesta bowl when we kicked the hell out of Spurrier and Florida. The lok on Spurriers face was priceless. I will never forget it. Quote Link to comment

gamecocks
Another great finish was watching Bobby Bowden's face turn to a frown when he realized that they lost the game against Miami in "Wide Right I". That look was priceless. Quote Link to comment
