I'd rather have Nesseth where he is at right now IMO... he's a guy that can come in twice a weekend and give you 50 pitches each time... thats solid.. if we can get a lead twice late in games he's going to close it out... and last year was rebuilding? In a sense that we weren't supposed to have pitching.. but Thad and Jennings came out of no where to be HUGE and got drafted, HIGH. They left, and honestly, couldn't blame em... This team is very young.. There are a couple seniors that actually see decent PT.. Mort at 3rd, Sullivan in the OF, and Neer behind the plate, Tezak at DH... Well, you can argue that Asche, and Burleson/Hanson are at least as good if not better than the others... Then Bailey, Belfonte, Cooper in the OF... Tezak is the biggest loss... Now, if Bailey/Bubak/Belfonte leave after this year, that will hurt bit time also... On the pitching side, we lose Erik Bird, which if you can't tell, sucks.. Nesseth is the biggest probable loss on the pitching side... If we get him to come back it's a +, if not, nothing not to be expected... also we have Tom Lemke out of Phoenix coming in this next year that is supposed to be a stud.. top 100 pitcher... if we can get him in here and he doesn't go in the draft that would be huge.... (we also have a top 100 3rd baseman coming in, can't remember his name off the top of my head though...)
