slacker
A man applied for a job in an office. When he arrived at the busy, noisy office he was told by the receptionist to fill out a form and wait until he was called. He completed the form and then sat and waited along with four other candidates who had arrived earlier. After a few minutes, he got up and went into an inner office and was subsequently given the job. The other candidates who had arrived earlier were angry. The manager explained why the man had been given the job. What was the reason? Quote Link to comment
AR Husker Fan
Was the man hired as a direct result of entering the office before the other candidates? Was the man hired because he showed initative/greater desire by entering the office before the other candidates? Quote Link to comment

IrishAZ
The manager was deaf. When he called for the next candidate, he used sign language. None of the other candidates understaood him, so they didn't get the job, Quote Link to comment

IrishAZ
The manager called for the next candidate, but the other three couldn't hear him because of the noise in the office. The one that stood up was deaf, and therefore not distracted by the noise, and was subsequently given the first interview and thus the job. Quote Link to comment

IrishAZ
Did that quality have to do with a means of communication? Quote Link to comment
