While stats alone don't paint the whole picture, I felt it was relevant being that KU played NU & Texas back-to-back weeks.

 

I have no intention of randomly comparing other teams. In the case of your anti-suggestion of TTU for example, they played them a month apart from each other. You'd have to factor in small details like injuries, progress, etc.

 

Not to mention Taylor Potts started for TTU against Texas, whereas Sheffield started for TTU against NU.

You left out an important stat: The time Texas' 1st stringers played vs. the time NU's 1st stringers played.
