StuckinChicago
You can always redshirt a guy and then pull them out if they are making great strides in practice of if some guys go down. I am sure that there are numerous players, Chris Brooks included, who will not see action in the Maine game and if they are not needed, will redshirt, but we shall see. Quote Link to comment
pigsonthewing
lets hope the new WR coach (cant remember his name) from CU does a good job teaching these guys how to catch and run their routes and shake off their defenders With all this "competition" runnin around it should be safe to assume that last year's WR corps (the ones that are left anyway) should be...um... competent. New WR coach is Ted Gilmore. The WR's we had last year should be better, simply because of health and experience. Nunn was good, Fluellen and LeFlore were both hurt quite a bit last year, and Mulkey will be good for a catch or two over the middle every now and then. Hardy and Nunn will probably both start, and there doesn't seem to be much concern about the injury to Brooks. Quote Link to comment
pigsonthewing
true. i also want to add that i think that with all these running backs i dont think we will be using every WR in our corps. Quote Link to comment

Eric the Red
Brooks back.... Journal Star BROOKS LIMITED: True freshman wide receiver Chris Brooks, who underwent minor knee surgery Aug. 9, has returned to practice. But Callahan said Brooks’ repetitions will be limited for the time being. “We wouldn’t really want to put him a position where he would have to take maximum reps, but he’s getting better,” the coach said. “He’s getting more confident, it appears, on the field, and on film. How many reps he’ll get, I’m really not certain.” As for wideouts Mark LeFlore (knee) and Isaiah Fluellen (hamstring), Callahan said he wasn’t ready to finalize a decision regarding their availability for Saturday night’s game against Maine. “I’ll just keep going day-by-day,” he said.
