Either way, we will do our best. The first game of the rivalry was played in 1897 and the Buckeyes did not win a single game until 1919. In 1902, the Buckeyes lost 86-0. The worst part of this game is that it was called in the third quarter because the referees did not want to continue the game. On the way home to Columbus after this game, Carmen Ohio was composed, which is the alma mater of the school. This is a very emotionally enduring rivalry. The worst calls up the best.
