Roxy15 Posted January 23, 2011 Share Posted January 23, 2011 This is tried and true..good and easy to make. Adjust ingredients to feed your family. Clam Chowder: Dice 1/2 Cup Bacon & 1/2 Cup Onion. Brown Bacon & Onion Together In Large Saucepan, Leave Grease In Pan, Dice: 3 Potatoes-Russet Or You Could Use Baby Red Potatoes Cut In Half Or However You Prefer 3 Stalks Celery 2 Shredded Or Diced Carrots Add diced vegetables and 2 cups water and liquid from chopped clams in can. Right before serving, add chopped clams and 1 pint half & half and 1/2 pint cream. Thicken with 2 T. cornstarch & 1/2 cup water. Salt & Pepper to taste. Add Shredded Cheddar Cheese On Top In Serving Bowl & Crackers. Quote Link to comment
