knapplc Posted March 8, 2011 Share Posted March 8, 2011 Papio South setter picks Huskers over Penn State Papillion-La Vista South sophomore Super-State setter Kelly Hunter has made an oral commitment to play volleyball at Nebraska beginning with the 2013 season. Hunter chose the Huskers over Penn State. The 5-foot-11 Hunter becomes the third Papillion-La Vista South sophomore headed to NU. Twin sisters Kadie and Amber Rolfzen, 6-3 outside hitters and the honorary captains of last fall's Super-State team, committed to Nebraska in June 2009, before their freshman year. Last season, Hunter helped the Titans become the first undefeated Class A state champion in 38 years by putting up 541 assists and registering 249 digs from the back row and knocking down 212 kills (.343 hitting efficiency) as a right-side attacker. GM_Tood Posted March 9, 2011 Share Posted March 9, 2011 I was fortunate to be able to watch the majority of these girls matches last year at PLVS. Kelly is going to be just as good as her sister (IMO). Can't wait to get these 3 into the program. Quote Link to comment
