Nexus
Out of curiosity I did some quick research to see if any other two-sport athletes had won an NCAA D-1 national football title as well as an MLB World Series title and so far if my research is correct Darin Erstad is the first and only player to hold that distinction. Then this from Huskers.com article today: He is the only player in Major League history to win Gold Gloves as an infielder (2004) and outfielder (2000 and 2002) and the first player in Major League history to win Gold Gloves at three positions (LF, 2000; CF, 2002; 1B, 2004). PaulCrewe
He also probably the first modern era punter at NU to have caught a touchdown pass in a game. Sorry Alex if ya only could have made a couple more CowPokes miss. A heck of a pass from Jon Vedral on that play as well. Quote Link to comment
