IdahoHuskerFan
My wife is a huge Huskers VB fan. I'm a big football fan. We live in Idaho. I'd love to take her to a VB game. How do I get tickets? I saw on the huskerpedia website that some of the games (matches?) are in Ft. Collins? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Quote Link to comment
knapplc
The Fort Collins match was played about a month ago. If you really want to see the Huskers, your best bet would be to check our Classifieds Forum, where tickets are sold from time to time, or if you're feeling brave, you could just come down to Lincoln for a match and buy tickets from someone selling in front of the Coliseum. There are almost always people selling extra tickets out front, usually for face value. I know it's kind of risky to fly/drive all the way to Lincoln for a match without tickets, but your odds of getting some out front are pretty good. I can tell you that if you like excitement and loud venues, you will definitely love the Coliseum on match night. It's one of the top - if not THE top - places to watch a volleyball match in the country. It is definitely worth the trip. Quote Link to comment
IdahoHuskerFan
Thank you so much for the help. I'll definitely check the classifieds as I would really want to guarantee that she has a ticket. So, just to clarify, all the remainder home games are in Lincoln? Quote Link to comment
knapplc
Yep, at the Coliseum, right next to Memorial Stadium. Quote Link to comment
bbeerma2
I got my tickets off of Craigslist. Face-value, great seats. It is such a small venue that most seats are great seats. Quote Link to comment
CornHOLIO
I can't even watch womens gymnastics on tv anymore. Makes me feel too dirty like I need to call the cops and turn myself in for something. Women in sports are just getting too young anymore. (Or I'm just getting too old). Quote Link to comment
IdahoHuskerFan
If anybody please know of two tickets that might be available, please let me know. I've tried other Huskers forums and Craigslist without any luck. I'm desperate, any help would be appreciated. I don't want to buy airfare without knowing that we actually will have a seat. knapplc
Which match are you thinking of coming to? That would help A LOT. Quote Link to comment
IdahoHuskerFan
The Wisconsin game would be ideal. I could maybe pull a few strings for the Minnesota match if I had to. I'd love to take your advice and just try to buy from someone right before the game but airfare is too pricey to fly ot there and not have a guaranteed seat. Quote Link to comment
knapplc
I emailed Wisch, the Director of Volleyball Operations. She said: You can go to huskers.com and click on the tickets tab. Then go to ticket market place…season ticket holders can sell their tickets. I would recommend checking that site frequently to see if there are any tickets available. Honestly, that's probably your best bet. You can always check the HuskerBoard Classified section (and even post a request there) or you can try Craigslist. Quote Link to comment
IdahoHuskerFan
Thank you for the help. I might just have to try for tickets to the tournament in San Antonio. We lived in Lincoln while I was going to grad school, we miss that town a lot so I was hoping to treat her to a home game and then we could hit one of our favorite restaurants, Mazatelans. But, it could be cool to go see em in TX, let's hope they make it that far Quote Link to comment
ohiocornhusker
I live in Ohio, and unless you really want to see a game in Lincoln, try getting tickets for an away game. I was able to get 4 tickets for the Ohio State/Nebraska game tonight, I did buy them in September, but that might be your best bet. Quote Link to comment
