Wow, that is awesome. Ive only seen a couple of tornadoes in my life but chasing them around has always seemed like something that would be a huge thrill.

 

What type of vehicle did you drive around in? What information/technology did you have at your disposal as far as tracking the storm system and finding tornado activity?

The team used 4 peoples cars..nothing special..and just used our phones and computers and used the radio announcments to track the exact location of the tornado .

Fantastic pictures; and spooky too.

 

 

Used to maintain surveillance on twisters back in the day using a 55 Chevy 2dr hardtop and the Mark II Mod 0 optical system.(eyeballs) :)

 

Followed one that never touched down between Prairie Home and Eagle. kinda scary at times; needed a navigator.
