tschu
Wow, that is awesome. Ive only seen a couple of tornadoes in my life but chasing them around has always seemed like something that would be a huge thrill. What type of vehicle did you drive around in? What information/technology did you have at your disposal as far as tracking the storm system and finding tornado activity? Quote Link to comment
knapplc
Never even seen one tornado. Very jealous. Quote Link to comment

The team used 4 peoples cars..nothing special..and just used our phones and computers and used the radio announcments to track the exact location of the tornado . Quote Link to comment
tschu
I figured it would be something like that. Its not like you need much special tech nowdays anyway...a smartphone with the local radar pulled up probably gets you pointed in the right direction. Sounds like a fun time though. rawhide
Fantastic pictures; and spooky too. Used to maintain surveillance on twisters back in the day using a 55 Chevy 2dr hardtop and the Mark II Mod 0 optical system.(eyeballs) Followed one that never touched down between Prairie Home and Eagle. kinda scary at times; needed a navigator.
