Roxy15 Posted May 26, 2012 Share Posted May 26, 2012 Barbeque Sauce: 1 Tsp. Dry Mustard 1 Tsp. Water 1/4 Cup Olive Oil ***Can Use Light Or Cooking Oil Of Your Choice 1 T. Minced Onions 1/4 Tsp. Black Pepper 1/2 Tsp. Chili Powder 1 Tsp. Salt 6 T. Brown Sugar 3 T. Lemon Juice 2 T. Worcestershire Sauce 1/4-1/2 Cup Vinegar 1 Small Can Tomato Paste 1 Small Can Tomato Sauce-(Opt.) 1/2 Cup Tomato Ketchup 1/8-1/4 Cup Liquid Smoke-(Opt.) 1/4 Cup Molasses Mix dry mustard with water and allow to stand 10 minutes. While the mustard is sitting. cook onions in oil until soft and transparent. Next mix spices and mustard along with molasses and brown sugar into the sautéed onions; add lemon juice. Stir in Worcestershire Sauce, vinegar and liquid smoke. Stir in tomato paste, tomato sauce and ketchup; let simmer for 10 minutes. Use immediately or allow to cool and transfer to bottle or jar for storing in refrigerator. Note: You may adjust the ingredients according to your taste. 1 Quote Link to comment
