Washusker
http://footballrecruiting.rivals.com/viewr...006&ra_key=1304 If we get Purify, we'll have 3 of the top 12 JC prospects, and 4 of the top 19. We are K-State! Aaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhh! Quote Link to comment
NamelessHusker
Oklahoma has 3 and is in on 3 other prospects. Maybe they are Mini Kansas State Quote Link to comment
Eric the Red
Ive gotten some PM's about ??'s that pertain to "all these Juco's" and why NU is taking so many. So here's my best response. Callahan does not want to go after all these JUCO's, this is way more than he had ever intended, but some of these high school recruits are taking there time and he can't wait for them. We are still the rebuilding stages. We are not Miami or USC with plenty of depth to help carry the load. We can not take only 18 or 19 recruits for the year. We need bodies. We need to fill our plate full of new recruits. Yes, some are going to be a huge bust, but that's the way the game is played. Quote Link to comment
kramer
I understand the need for JUCOs, but I also see a higher failure rate for JUCOs also--for every DeMarrio Williams, there seem to be a dozen flops--Again, I understand the immediate need, but would like to see a greater emphasis on HS players Quote Link to comment
benjibean1
I think you will start to see that next year. We played way more Frosh/Soph that we would have liked to this year. So this is just kinda the pains of it. I think you will see alot of HS players next season. Now that we have depth and alot of younger players we can now afford it. Quote Link to comment
NamelessHusker
I am not ready to call any of the JUCO's we recruited as flops yet. I think if a HS player had problems adjusting to the defensive schemes for example, there's no reason to think a JUCO offensive or defensive player is having problems picking it up that quick either. What looked like a possible quick fix might be taking 1 more year then expected. I expect to see a lot of Juco guys we recruited last year on the field next year Quote Link to comment
