knapplc Posted May 17, 2013 Share Posted May 17, 2013 Huskers Named to Roster for U.S. Women's Red-Blue Scrimmage U.S. Women’s National Volleyball Team Head Coach Karch Kiraly announced the roster of athletes who will participate in the Red-Blue intrasquad scrimmage today in Santa Monica, Calif. Current and former Huskers listed on the roster include Lauren Cook, Kayla Banwarth and Kelsey Robinson. The scrimmage will be played at Santa Monica High School’s North Gym and is free to the public. Banwarth, Team USA Win Pan Am Cup The U.S. Women's National Volleyball Team produced a 25-12, 25-20, 25-18 victory over Dominican Republic on Sunday evening in Lima, Peru, to capture the Pan American Cup gold medal for the second consecutive year. Former Husker Kayla Banwarth recorded eight digs and sevent receptions on 14 errorless attempts in the match. She was selected as the tournament's best receiver for her efforts over the course of the tournament. Quote Link to comment
