darkhorse85
Shouldn't be much of a change in your setup besides needing an HD dish and HD receiver. Edit: Don't be surprised it this thread gets moved to A/V club, Marble. Quote Link to comment
LouisianaHuskerFan
You will need a slimline dish, either 3 LNB or 5 LNB, to receive HD channels which come from the 99 and 103 degree satellites. These dishes are a little more difficult to align than the dish you are using currently but it's not difficult. Do you have a slimline dish you can use? If not, you will need to purchase one: http://www.solidsignal.com/pview.asp?mc=02&p=AU9-SL3&d=DIRECTV-AU9SL3-Three-LNB-KaKu-Slim-Line-Dish-Antenna-and-SL3-LNB-Combo-(AU9SL3)&c=DIRECTV%20Dishes&sku= Quote Link to comment
marble
We actually use a Slimline 3 LNB for standard definition, so we already have the equipment. I know that having the tripod level is key. We're over in Lot 12 and never have any problem getting the SD setup. I've just heard that getting HD is pretty time consuming. Quote Link to comment
