Mavric
"It's the energy he has," Armstrong said of projected starting left guard Jake Cotton. "He's the guy who's always up-tempo, always rowdy. He's down in the trenches, tired sometimes. He may go on the sideline and throw up, drink some water, and be right back out there. "That just shows a bunch about him." In these very early stages of Husker spring practice, Armstrong and the rest of the quarterbacks are becoming familiar with an offensive line that lost five key seniors from last season who had a combined 127 starts -- Spencer Long, Jeremiah Sirles, Cole Pensick, Brent Qvale and Andrew Rodriguez. Sirles was Armstrong's "go-to guy" last season, the lineman with whom Armstrong had the most chemistry, the sophomore said earlier this week. LJS 1 Quote Link to comment
Mavric
Also says Givens Price has been working a lot with the No 1 unit. Moudy probably the starter there but is out for the spring. Quote Link to comment
Mavric
From the same article, Knevel, Sterup and Lewis are getting most of the No 1 unit work at tackle. Lewis is the "runt" of the bunch at 6-6, 290. 1 Quote Link to comment
Mavric
Price got more compliments from Pelini after today's practice. Sounds like Givens could be in for a spot in the rotation with Cotton and Moudy. Quote Link to comment
