HeyBurke
5 pounds is notable? you can lose or gain 5 by either a healthy dump or a super-size slushy I would imagine that these weights are averages. They probably weigh the guys after every workout and/or practice and average them out at the end of the week, or something. Quote Link to comment
zoogs
I don't think they're all that scientific about either weight or height. But I do think we can take a 5-lb difference to mean, "this guy bulked up a little", etc, etc. It can be pretty meaningful. OK, a little meaningful. Quote Link to comment
Enhance
I treat weights the same as I do heights. Though they may be listed as a certain number, that doesn't actually mean they are that number. Some players are regularly shorter than their listed heights by an inch or sometimes more. Plus, given that the weights are all divisible by five is another sign that "Well... we're rounding a bit..." Still, at least the players added enough weight to get the rounding! Lol. I do find the weights interesting, though, especially near the end of a career to see where a player started and how he ended up. Quote Link to comment
Blackshirt96
Pretty sure he means Sam Cotton. Jake is 310lbs. Quote Link to comment
Blackshirt96
Huskers.com has updated the roster. There are quite a few new numbers assigned to players but I thought I would just list some notable weight gains or losses that are listed. I look at the roster quite often so I am pretty sure the previous weights I listed are correct but I might be mistaken on some. Nathan Gerry is actually down 5 lbs. suprisingly - listed at 205 Terrell Newby - 200 (was at 190) Marcus Newby - 220 (was 210 or 215) Tanner Farmer - 310 (had dropped to 270? for wrestling) DJ Foster - 310 (was listed at 315 before I think) Givens Price - 310 (was 300) Zach Sterup - 320 (was 310 or 315) Tommy Armstrong - 220 (was 210 or 215) Johnny Stanton - 230 (was 220 or 225) Ben Cotton - 250 (was 240) Alonzo Moore - 195 (was 185) Good to see the weight training and conditioning paying off. Hopefully its that & not that they are on the Todd Peat Jr diet. Quote Link to comment
