OZY appreciation thread

Recommended Posts

A little while ago, someone posted the "Vox appreciation thread" and it introduced me to a web site that I have really enjoyed reading.

So, about a month ago I clicked on an ad for OZY on twitter and have really enjoyed reading it every day also.

OZY SMARTER. FRESHER. DIFFERENT.

This web site just seems young, fresh, smart and alternative without being weird while at the same time (like Vox) it doesn't seem to be dominated by one political view point.

My question is, is there other sites like Vox and OZY that I don't know about? I'm always looking for new and interesting sources for information.

It's not really like Vox or OZY but you might enjoy reading The Dish. It's pretty much a stream of consciousness from a gay conservative (an English conservative . . . so he does share your distaste for the current GOP). He's hyperbolic. He's often really, really, wrong. But he is pretty open about his flaws and will make you think critically.

Here is a piece from today about Hillary Clinton that you might get a kick out of. (Spoiler alert: he doesn't like the Clintons.)

Naa....not really what I'm looking for. I've read some from Dish and it seems to be more of one persons political views.

I'm looking for interesting info like this article from OZY.

It's about an artist that is trying to make a difference in the middle of all the misery in Yemen with art. I find this stuff fascinating and interesting. Meanwhile, there are other articles that give different perspectives on current events. Then, I can read how to make a great cup of coffee.

Pretty unique site from what I can see.
