Mavric
Players with starting experience from last season include setter Mary Pollmiller, outside hitter Kadie Rolfzen, right-side hitter Amber Rolfzen, middle blockers Cecilia Hall, Meghan Haggerty and Melanie Keil, and libero Justine Wong-Orantes. Added to the mix are four freshmen: outside hitters Maddie Haggerty, Annika Albrecht and Olivia Boender, and defensive specialist Sydney Townsend. There will be competition at every spot, coach John Cook said. Pollmiller, a captain and the only senior on the team, may be the toughest to unseat, but sophomore Kelly Hunter will get a chance to push her. Just like last season, the middle blocker position will have lots of competition, with redshirt freshman Kira Larson added to the mix with the three returnees. Kadie Rolfzen is likely the top outside hitter. Amber Rolfzen could stay at right-side hitter or move to the other outside spot. Junior Alicia Ostrander and Maddie Haggerty could also play on the right side. Junior Kelsey Fien and Albrecht will each have a chance at outside hitter too. In other words, a lot of spots are up for grabs. LJS Quote Link to comment
Mavric
Wow! Cooks says that the waiting list for volleyball tickets is still over 2,000 long. That's crazy. Also, Volleyball is now revenue-generating. That was one of the reasons for moving to Devaney but that's still great to make it happen. Quote Link to comment
