I was just wondering if any of you all-knowing freaks (mean it in a good way) had info on former Husker players now in the coaching ranks. I know that many of the "role players" that we've had in the last 5 years have expressed interest in coaching. I'd be interested to see who's out there and what they're doing. Quote Link to comment

Jerry Murtaugh was coaching for the Omaha Beef until a couple years ago i think. Joel Makovicka was an intern with U of Virginia in 2004 Rich Glover was working with Tony Samuel at New Mexico State until that (Husker-heavy) staff was let go. HANC Posted February 21, 2006 Share Posted February 21, 2006 I would like to add: Matt Turman I believe coaches high school football at Scutt Catholic Chris Zyzda (starting left tackle '92 season opposite Shields) coaches football at Sargeant Bluff, Ia.... only know this because he is a former college roomie. I played midget football with Joe Blahak's son about ten years ago. Our first year playing he was an assistant coach. I'll tell you what... he was a DICK! The only ones I knew or found myself were the more obvious ones, such as Ohio U., Doane, Rathman, Alvarez, Kiffin, etc. Clint Finley, Granado (TX), DC (just hired this year) though this one was from a recent article found by news.google.com (trusty ol' Google).
