BigRedBuster
Got a question that is totally going to show my ignorance in buying tires. I just purchased an older 4x4 pickup for my son. It needs new tires fairly soon. I would like to get him some tires that are more than just road tires. He will be using this truck for a lot of hunting and fishing. We drive on a lot of gravel roads and in snow and mud. Anyway, right now, the size of tire the truck has now is 265/75 R 16. Well, I would like to get him something that is a little over sized just because it would look nicer on this truck. I found the brand and type of tire that I want. My question is, can you put a 285/75 R 16 on the same rim? If so, what problems am I not thinking of?I've bought a lot of tires in my life but I've never dove into buying ones for a truck like this. Thanks, Quote Link to comment
