Farmer, Knevel Gelling on the Right Side

Recommended Posts

What outsiders may not have realized was that Knevel and Farmer also had to figure each other out.

What to say. What not to say. When to say it.

And looking back a year, Knevel laughs and says the relationship on the right side needed some work.

“Without a doubt, it was really tough,” he said. “Because I don’t think I’ve actually ever played beside Tanner before last spring, so I didn’t really know what to expect.

“Once you get in the heat, you kind of say something to one another that maybe you shouldn’t say, and it’s not taken the right way. So we kind of learned as we went along.”

Things are much different 12 months later, Knevel said. The overall cohesion on the line — with returning starters everywhere but center — is showing up in spring drills. Knevel and Farmer simply know and understand each other better.
