HuskersGJ Posted June 26, 2006 Share Posted June 26, 2006 If the game were AT Texas this year and we beat them- sure, tear 'em down. or at least plant an 'N' flag at midfield. but IMO the posts wouldn't go down if we beat 'em this year. or, should i say, there won't be an attempt to tear down the posts. they wouldn't go down even if the fans tried. The last time fans stormed the goal posts at Memorial (that i know of) was vs OU in '95. even then they TRIED to tear them down but the posts won. that wasn't a big upset by any means but it was the last Big 8 game for the Huskers and it meant that the team was officially bound for the Fiesta Bowl.
