Mavric
Quote 5. Nebraska Home games: Ohio State, Northwestern, Indiana, Wisconsin, Iowa (28-17) Road games: Illinois, Minnesota, Purdue, Maryland (13-23) Foes' combined league record: (41-40) Bye weeks: Oct. 19, Nov. 19 Overview: The good news for the Huskers is the big dogs are coming to Lincoln, with home games against the last two conference division champions in back-to-back weeks. By Oct. 5, and especially after that next week after Nebraska goes to Minnesota, you’ll already have a strong idea if this team has the goods to possibly win the West. Not to be undervalued: The byes are well placed for the Huskers. They get that midseason one on Oct. 19, then play a couple games, then get another week off before the final three games that include home contests against Wisconsin and Iowa. Could be useful for healing some wounds. It’s good to have big games at home. There’s also some pressure with that. Because if the Huskers struggle in those and aren’t in the race, they’re going to need to win some games that could be tough scraps on the road against Minnesota, Purdue and Maryland to make sure the overall record at least gets a nice boost from last year’s 4-8 campaign. Honestly, Iowa's and Nebraska’s schedules look like a pretty even draw, and wouldn’t be surprised at all if we finally get that Black Friday game in Lincoln where both teams could win the division on the final day. 247 1 Quote Link to comment
