Rutgers has been pretty embarrassing with off the field issues and on the field performance. They didn’t get a full share of revenue for 6years, just like Nebraska. Its a lousy deal, but the same deal. The espn article didn’t convince me they have brought in a ton of non Big Ten fan cable subscribers. Seems like adding two teams and going to a 9 game schedule added more content for the Big Ten network and it allowed Delany to convince the networks there was increased value. Are there recent articles that show the actual cable subscriber increase? I think a different 14th team (maybe Virginia?) would have accomplished the same result with a better showing.
