  1. Why is the SEC hated so much? Check out how many teams from the SEC have been in some kind of trouble in the last two years. Per the article, 6 of their 12 teams have been involved in some form of off the field scandal or controversy over that period. What really makes no sense to me is how ALabama didn't really get into trouble for having players that were buying textbooks on the school account and then selling them. "It must be easy to be an SEC fan. As long as one of the 12 teams wins the National Title, you get to celebrate." I lmao at that because I have a good friend that is an LSU fan. After the BCS this year, you would have thought LSU had won the Title. I'm all about supporting your conference, but my buddy takes it to another level that I could never see myself doing. I might have wanted other Big 12 teams to win National Titles for conference pride, but I would never poor champagne over it.
  2. We really are pretty darn loaded with athletes on the defensive side of the ball. The OP is correct though. How next season goes depends on our offense improving during the off season.
  3. hahah that was hilarious. I don't know what's more funny, his dancing or the fact someone that small is boxing...
  4. went to youtube and this is the first video that showed up...
  5. They might be focusing more on economic issues, but when the time comes for them to vote on legislation regarding social issues, I think they will vote the same way the Republican party has for some time. Especially regarding abortion, drugs, gay marriage, and any victimless "crime" that they can get their hand on. Ya they will. They are pretty open about it.
  6. No kidding plus Nebraska moving to the Big 10 was much bigger news than Tebow's speech. The author must be an SEC man/woman? Or worse...a bleacher report writer! lol...agreed...they suck...
  7. Agreed! We need as much positive press as we can get...
  8. I shared a link last week about the SEC and oversigning. I've become quite interested in the issue. It's a big problem and the NCAA needs to do something to protect and put the interest of the kids first. Here is another link about oversigning. Specifically, it discusses the practice at Alabama. College Football Recruiting: Should the NCAA put an end to Nick Saban's oversigning practices at Bama? The NCAA has got to do something about this...its unfair to 18 and 19 year old children.
  9. Look at the image in the article below. 1/2 of the top 12 teams that oversign come from the SEC, of course. 6 of the 9 teams already oversigned are from the SEC, naturally. The debate over the ethics of the practice of over-signing by universities is starting to pick-up a little bit. The thing that doesn't surprise me is that if there is a gray area that might not violate the current NCAA rules but does have a cloud of suspicion around it, you are guaranteed nearly every SEC team is involved to some degree. College Football Recruiting: Does the issue of Oversigning need to be addressed?
  10. That's what it seemed like to me too...
