BIGREDIOWAN
Anyone have any experience with a miniscus tear or MCL tear in their knee? I've had some issues in my right knee for almost a year now and it's driving me nuts. I'm guessing I have one of these two things because it's on the inside of the knee, the knee feels unstable at times, pain will come and go and I have to wear a knee brace at times to help with stability and pain. I've had no swelling that I can remember. The injury happened when I went to grab some dumbbells off of the rack and I went to turn around and my right foot kinda stuck in the flooring at my gym and as I twisted to turn it was instant pain. TonyStalloni
At first it sounded like a meniscus tear but if it is really unstable it could be an ACL or MCL. Have you had a PT check the instability? Sometimes pain (from Meniscus or bone on bone contact) will cause you to flinch when you feel pain, making it feel unstable. If it has been going on a year then it probably isn't going to get better. The longer you wait the better chance for worsened arthritis in the future. Good luck! Quote Link to comment
BIGREDIOWAN
No, I haven't, I've been hoping that it will get better and it seems to be just hanging around. I'm hoping I don't need surgery, but I'm not real sure. I just wanted to hear from some folks that may have dealt with the same injury. Quote Link to comment
