Taylor played in all 31 games last season — his first year with the Huskers — with starts in the final 21 contests. The guard averaged 5.2 points and 2.9 rebounds per game. Taylor, a Cincinnati native who began his collegiate career at Samford, transferred to Nebraska from Odessa (Texas) College. Watson, a two-year starting guard from Chicago, finished second on the team last season with 13.1 points per game, which ranked 18th in the conference. His 1.6 steals per game ranked third in the Big Ten, and he also averaged 2.6 assists.
