  1. On Sunday, the Vikings had penalty on a Giant's field goal because the Giant's center got hit and knocked down. They said on the broadcast that the NFL rule is that the center can't get hit on a special team's snap because their head is so far down, they want to protect the player. You'd think if the NFL has a player protection in, college would too.
  2. FS2 has one weekly game live overnight on the weekends. Other games are on Fox Soccer Plus which costs extra and not every cable system has. I've always enjoyed watching those games, wish they'd be more accessible.
  3. There's not really much of a difference right now as far as households. ESPN is in 87 million homes, FS1 is in 84 million. https://sportstvratings.com/how-much-bigger-is-espn-than-fs1-august-2017-cable-coverage-estimates/8280/
  4. Right now the Vikings have 5 running backs on the roster. Latavius Murray and Dalvin Cook are locks. Jerick McKinnon is a good speedy back but he'll be competing with Cook for playing time now. The fifth is Bishop Sankey, who I don't remember doing anything too exciting in the past (and I am someone who watches most of the Viking's preseason games). So if Newby does well on special teams, I think there is a spot for him if they keep 4 running backs.
  5. And how! The title of the thread should be, It's on ESPN News, no wait, now it's on ESPN2, no wait, now it's not on any channel, oh hey it's on ESPN. In the case of the game being moved around temporarily at the beginning because the early game is going late, yes that is aggravating. But that is just temporary, once that early game is over the game goes to where it was scheduled and listed on the official Huskers schedule page I posted earlier. For the ABC/ESPN2 mirror games, that is a matter of finding the map showing where it is shown if you are in a state outside the immediate region. Some people post the coverage map here, but if you miss that post or can't find it I always go here to double check http://506sports.com/ncaaf.php Find the Nebraska game and the hyperlink on the network will show which channel it is on. This won't matter for the next three games but good to note for the future.
  6. They aren't really switching games from channel to channel, they just wait to assign the specific channel until the week before. For instance, if you look at the official schedule at http://www.huskers.com/SportSelect.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=100&SPID=22&SPSID=3&DB_OEM_ID=100 You can see that they have the Ohio St game listed as ABC, ESPN, or ESPN2. They just don't set the exact channel until the week of the game. The Wisconsin game had the game listing until it got set to ESPN with this announcement.
