  1. FIFY Nice fake quote. It actually doesn't rain that much here at all compared to the East Coast.
  2. Michigan is garbage, they play no one OOC, all their games are at home. Ohio State is decent, but not great. The only real team in the Big-10 is Wisconsin.
  3. uh-oh. better be careful, what will you learn about your team next week? Hey, it's not just me saying this. I see plenty of your fellow Husker fans saying you will lose 4-5 games. Washington on the other hand learned we have a great QB this year.
  4. Huskers learned that they are a mediocre team.
  5. Both Roddick and Isner win today within 1 minute of each other. Nuff said.
  6. Not if Al Davis has anything to say about it. and neither did Tommie Fraizer, scott frost, and Eric Crouch. What is the significance? Exactly. Who gives a rat's ass about the NFL? It's more popular than any other sporting event in the US, so apparently a lot of people including myself. So wait a second. Let's say for just one, horrible moment that boy-toy Jake Locker is a complete and utter failure in the NFL. Does that mean he wasn't a good college quarterback? Because that is, in essence, what you are saying. And if this is what you are saying, then I would like you to please unplug your keyboard, turn off your monitor and smash your face through the screen. Because, clearly, you have no idea what you're talking about and your computer is better served dead than at your finger tips. The interesting thing is that Locker looked completely terrible against the two best defenses he played his senior year, two defenses that came from the same team. So his failure in the NFL is almost inevitable eh? Perhaps an even greater example would be Steve Emtman, who despite having a great college career and becoming the number one pick the NFL draft, was a complete and total bust in the NFL. So, naturally, your entire existence as a player is determined by what you do in the NFL, therefore Emtman is a terrible defensive tackle.
  7. 28-27 Washington, that's my prediction unless Chris Polk doesn't play. If he gets seriously hurt our season is done. Go ahead and laugh all you want, you did the same before your offense got completely shut down in the Holiday Bowl. Nebraska is a great team no doubt, I just like how we match up against you. You mean by missing your two best players? I don't understand what you are saying... What I'm saying is that I think we will win a close game IF Chris Polk starts. If he doesn't then I would definitely say Nebraska wins by 2-3 touchdowns. CP is that important to this team. Without a doubt he will be playing on Sundays and is the most important player on our offense, even more so than our QB Keith Price.
  8. Husky All Black Uniforms>Maryland's new uniforms (yes I liked them)> Some of Oregon's uniforms (Yes some of the 1000s that they have are actually good)>everything else

  10. Hey now, we could still play them in the Rose Bowl. It would take a miracle for the Huskies to win the Pac-12. @Stanford I give us about a 5% chance of winning. Home against Oregon maybe a 10% chance.

  12. Ouch. The truth hurts. No, here's what hurts. Your NFL QB had worse passing stats than our HS QB. NET YARDS PASSING............. 150 71 Completions-Attempts-Int.... 7-11-0 4-20-2 Average Per Attempt......... 13.6 3.5 Average Per Completion...... 21.4 17.8 Passing Touchdowns.......... 1 1 NET YARDS PASSING............. 98 72 Completions-Attempts-Int.... 10-21-1 6-19-0 Average Per Attempt......... 4.7 3.8 Average Per Completion...... 9.8 12.0 Passing Touchdowns.......... 1 0 Both QB's had bad passing games... Locker was just completely off in that first game, he had one awful game... while in the Holiday Bowl he didn't really need to pass because our running game was so dominant. Locker was 15/17 132 YDs 1 TD and 118.6 QB Rating in their last preseason games against the Saints. Locker will be a great NFL QB while Martinez will never start a single game in the NFL as a QB. By the way ...how many points did you beat your FCS school by this past weekend? We beat ours by 33...maybe you did better I can't remember... We beat the best FCS team in the country by 3... a win is a win.

  14. Wtf? I hate it when people cry "racism" when there obviously is none.
  15. I never said we were on the same level as your program historically. You are above us, yes. This whole thing started when your fellow Husker fan said we lacked quality football. Well if winning 1...2..or 4 national titles depending on what you want to count and 7 rose bowls is lacking quality football... I'm baffled.
  16. It's really not, it's the AP and Coaches poll since they stopped voting on championships before bowls. The nationally recognized polls. Beyond that, it's where it gets murky. However considering 3 of the 4 titles you are trying to claim were awarded by the Helms, (B(QPRS), FN, NCF), and (Rothman/FACT). They don't really fall into that "murky" area for anyone else. Like I said feel free to claim as many as you want, just as the rest of college football will feel free to laugh their asses off at you for doing it, like we are here. "Sure you were champions in '84 buddy, sure you were" with the rest of the nation's arms around your back as we all look away and snicker. "Good for you!" You just contradicted yourself then. The 1960 Husky National Title team would have been undisputed National Champs if the AP and Coaches poll were done after the bowl game since Washington beat the AP and Coaches champ of that year-Minnesota in the Rose Bowl. Thus you just proved that the Huskies 1960 Championship is legit. The 1984 and 1990 teams are "murky" I agree, but not the 1960 or 1991 teams.
  17. Well it really depends on what polls you want to count, it's all very subjective in college football which is stupid in the first place since there should be a playoff system. TCU not being considered a national champion last year is just wrong. Name me another major sport where an undefeated team doesn't get a shot at being the champion... it's a joke really.Just keep the 4 Major Bowl Games (Rose, Fiesta, Sugar, Orange), then have the winner of the Rose play the winner of the Fiesta and the winner of the Sugar play the winner of the Orange. Then the winners of those two games play in the National Championship Game. It's really simple... but the BCS is pathetic and this never will happen.
  18. Cry More Yeah, OK. Not cool Polo...c'mon...they just won 'their' version of a National Championship. They'll never see a real one, so give em this. And I forgot that they're still ecstatic about splitting things with their new brethren back in 90, and they LOST to them then. Barely beat SJSU, barely beat Purdue. They were awesome though. We have 2 or 4 national titles depending on what polls you want to count so i have no clue what you are talking about. Well everyone with any sort of a brain would look at this: Washington claims the following national championships: Year Coach Selector Record Bowl Game 1960 Jim Owens Helms 10-1 Won Rose Bowl 1984 Don James B(QPRS), FN, NCF 11-1 Won Orange Bowl 1990 Don James Rothman/FACT 10-2 Won Rose Bowl 1991 Don James B(QPRS), DeS, DuS, FN, FWAA, MGR, NCF, R(FACT), SR, UPI/NFF, USAT/CNN 12-0 Won Rose Bowl and say who in the hell selected: Year Coach Selector Record Bowl Game 1960 Jim Owens Helms 10-1 Won Rose Bowl 1984 Don James B(QPRS), FN, NCF 11-1 Won Orange Bowl 1990 Don James Rothman/FACT 10-2 Won Rose Bowl 1991 Don James B(QPRS), DeS, DuS, FN, FWAA, MGR, NCF, R(FACT), SR, UPI/NFF, USAT/CNN 12-0 Won Rose Bowl Hell in 1960 5 teams are trying to claim that national title. and hey look in 1984 (according to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/College_football_national_championships_in_NCAA_Division_I_FBS) nebraska had a share of that national title. Think we are pathetic enough to try and claim that crap? hell no... see that 13-0 next to BYU there? and you're trying to claim what another 1/4th of one with GT and Colorado in 1990? It doesn't work that way in any rational teams mind, at least since the 1930s. Trying to claim more makes you look like Alabama or Notre Dame caliber morons. Except the thing is those (ND and bama's) National championship claims were done in like the late 19th and early 20th century before polls stopped declaring Championships before the end of the season or really even existed... Washington looks like they are trying to claim participation awards for special Olympians. You had ONE undefeated season where you legitimately have a claim to a National championship. Unless the Major polls declared you one, nobody else recognizes that some moron sportscaster in your region did, especially in the modern era. But by all means claim as many as you want. How about 300? Washington Huskies, 300peat national champions in NCAA football! Sounds good! Right? Except for the fact that you have ONE national championship. It's split with Miami. By that rationale you have two legitimate national titles as well. 1971 and 1995. All the other years had Nebraska splitting it with other teams. The whole determining who the national champion is though is really a joke in college football though... with no playoff system it's just awful.

  20. I just did a spit take, and I wasn't even drinking anything! ? the 1991 Washington team came into Lincoln and destroyed Nebraska that year. Don't act like it wouldn't be a good game. 15 point win isn't exactly destroying another team. Besides, the "U" shut us out that year in our bowl game. And we tied Colorado. We finished ranked 15th. It's not like we were the best team that year... You guys only had to play 3 ranked teams that year and beat them by an average of 14 points. We played 4 top ten teams and beat them by an average of 30. You had a great team that year, but not compared to our 95 team. Nice try though. Well I agree with you that your 95 team was no doubt a juggernaut on offense, definitely better than the 91 Huskies offense... no denying that. I would just love to see how they would play against that 91 UDub defense... Emtman was a monster.

  22. I think Nebraska will win but more like by 14 or 17 points... 28 is a lot.
