  1. I wouldn't be too worried about him knowing the offense, he should have some familiarity with it being on the scout team, plus he has 7 months to learn.
  2. Hey they did change their coaches midway through recruiting. I'm sure it will be better next year, but who knows?
  3. How come every link on Rivals is only for users now? It's like they just made this switch in a matter of minutes. I can't access anything, message boards, commit lists, databases.....this sucks.
  4. Hey closer to home and warm weather, can't blame him.
  5. This realdawg.com site is a straight replica of Rivals Washington site, HuskyDigest.com and there is nothing on the Rivals site talking about Palmer. I still don't think this is possible if the guy has already signed his name away to NU.
  6. That doesn't make any sense, he has already signed a letter of intent, right??
  7. I don't know, if anybody has anything, LET US KNOW!!!!
  8. for the kids, it is all about playing now, nothing else matters.....to most of them hunter I went to high school with Jeff's older brothers who are both in the military. You have to remember that he is from a military family and is very close with his siblings. This kid went through Navy Seals training with his oldest brother the summer before his senior year, and I think most of us know how that benefited him. There is obviously a desire by Jeff to support his country, and you can't blame him for that. So don't just say it's all because of PT, respect his decision to do what's best for him, even if it for personal reasons.
  9. What I heard is OU will land McCoy, and Gresham (TE). Probably just waiting for a signing day announcement.
  10. However, Scout is pretty good for tracking minor league baseball players. My buddy is with the Cubs and I can track all the articles about him, so I like that aspect.
  11. I just checked out the commit list for Auburn and LSU. Auburn already has 5, yes 5, DT commits for this year, including a 5- and a 4-star. But LSU only has 1 DT commit in Al Woods. Since Georgia appears to be out of it and he isn't even taking a visit to Tennessee, I'm guessing it comes down to us and the Tigers. Come on Blake, take out Bo!!
  12. How about Danzel Issac as a safety prospect?? 6-3, 215, 4.4 speed? Not sure why he is taking so long to commit.
  13. You're exactly right, I always wondered about this as well. We're even 6th in the Big 12! But anways, they obviously bank more on their Top 100 high school players and don't give many points for JUCOs. It baffles me a little bit too that we have the the lowest ranking for someone with the high avg. rating (3.17). Scout doesn't upgrade stars for a lot of players like Rivals does. It seems that all the NU commits who were no-namers (1 or 2-stars) all of a sudden became at least 3.
  14. UPDATE! Just heard Crabtree on 810 in KC, he says Thenarse will be N unless something dramatic happens. I'll take him at his word on that one.
  15. Come on now, sure it provides us with a warmup. But how does playing Nicholls State right before heading out to LA to face USC get you ready to play. The caliber of opponent between Nicholls State and USC is night and day, and certainly hope we aren't too high on ourselves after we put a beating to Nicholls. This could really hurt us and I hope everybody realizes that.
  16. OT's Carl Nicks, 6-6, 320, Jr Lydon Murtha, 6-7, 315, So. Brock Pasteur, 6-6, 290, Jr. -- was he injured last year? Matt Slauson, 6-5, 340, So. OG's Greg Austin, 6-1, 290, Sr Rodney Picou, 6-4, 300, RFr. Craig Roark, 6-2, 300, RFr. Andy Christensen, 6-3, 200 C - Kurt Mann 6-4, 290, Sr. My starting 5: Nicks, Murtha, Austin, Mann and........Roark!
  17. His numbers in '04 were not bad for a tight end. Just remember that he made a name for himself off of the option pass his first two years. I would like to see how he does in the WCO for a full year and also see how well he runs before I admit he is a 1st rounder. Also, what is his blocking like? I've never really paid attention to it.
  18. I'll tell you why Fluellen isn't getting many looks. First off he is 5-11 and he is not the next Seneca Wallace. I know he threw 37 touchdowns but completed way less than 50% of his throws. Plus I know John Faiman at Bellevue West and all he does is run Counter 6 and Counter 7 passes (roll out passes) and fire the ball downfield. Fluellen had some good athletes for receivers this year, but he really wasn't too special. Numbers are great but can you take that to the next level is the question.
  19. Leon Jackson redshirt?? He was jumping at any chance just to get on the field last year and there is no way you can tell a guy of his calibur to just sit a year, there is no way he would go for that. However, it raises the question, where will this guy play and when?
  20. I agree Nameless, that sounds like a realistic possibility.
  21. Mueller seems to be the guy that could back up Herian, not sure why he didn't play more this year, he is a huge target at 6'7" but I'm not sure how well he runs. I look for Pierre Allen to be an interesting prospect at TE in a few years, put on some weight, keep the great athleticism, and you have a Tony Gonzalez type TE.
  22. Your choices: Swift Nunn Hardy Mulkey Peterson Fluellen Brooks Spain Purify Holt Henry It's hard to say at this point, but I think Swift, Nunn, and Purify will be the top 3. Hardy, Mulkey, Peterson, and Fluellen might get a catch here and there. Brooks is a big question mark because he seems to have been lost in the mix. Holt and Henry will probably redshirt and learn the offense. What do you think?
  23. I think Yahoo might have it wrong, plus they had 4 or 5 other guys on their list that weren't on the ESPN list. There is nothing about this anywhere, and yes I would trust ESPN over anyone on this topic.
  24. I am 100% with you on this one, Dallas. Gotta represent Bellevue someway!
  25. This is from a post on HuskersIllustrated about today's press conference. Notes from Callahan's Press Conference Reply -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- - Dyckes has left the team and will follow Scott Downing to Northern Colorado. - Kurt Mann had shoulder surgery and will miss Spring Ball. He should be fine for Fall. - Matt Herian had two screws removed from his leg and will attempt to practice in the Spring, although two years of doing nothing on the leg will definitly take some time to recover and it's up in the air how effective he'll be. - Ashlee Palmer is NOT on campus and will NOT be practicing with the team this Spring as was originally planned. He has academic issues similar to Spain last year. It's not a problem with his GPA, but more his core classes(i.e. min. number of math classes, english classes, etc.) Hopefully he'll get it settled and have no problems come the fall
