  1. good to hear...he's already huge! I would like to see a pic from practice of him...anyone find one of glenn? I've looked on a number of sites trying to find one and havnt been able to.
  2. ***Freshman running back Cody Glenn was one of the more impressive looking players in day one of spring practice. Norvell said he was impressed the gains Glenn has made over the off-season. "Cody has gotten bigger and stronger," Norvell said. "He's just a pup. He's going to get better everyday. He's really improved this off-season." Got that off HuskersIllustrated.com.... Looks like its going to be a good year out of Baby Earl! Looks like C-Train came to play....
  3. Thats why I hate usuing 40 times to tell how fast a player is. Cody Glenn is fast, like we've read on here he's neck and neck with Lucky during sprints. Also...how often does a RB get a chance to run 40 yards wide open. Never. Maybe I just favor Glenn more, but with the speed he has...if he gets it worked up think of what he'll do to people. Glenn is my bet for starter.
  4. Well...I think Lucky has just as much ability if not more than any of the other RB at NU. But...I just dont see him being the starter. I think he was given too much hype. He came from a weak region of football in Cali. and it made him shine. He wont be able to do that in D-1. But, he might make a believer out of me, but I dont see it. Glenn...came from East Texas...known for strong football. Played on a team that wasnt to the caliber of him, but he carried his team to the play offs 4 years in a row. He did his job at NU this year...with the box stacked and everyone knowing what was coming, he still got the yardage needed for a firstdown or touchdown. I dont see anyone beating out Glenn for the spot of starter...he's biggest and strongest. With the lack of line that Nebraska has showed...he looks as if he'll do more with less. Another thing to think about...would Lucky have done what Glenn did in short yardage?? Also...I believe Glenn would have caught the passes that Lucky dropped. I believe both are going to get better trying to beat each other out. Going to be a good year.
  5. It crossed my mind that they are bringing him in and letting Leon have a chance to motivate Glenn or Lucky. Maybe thats just a way I see it.
  6. For some reason I thought the opposite. I thought somthing bad was going to happen when he touched the ball.
  7. Picture of Cody Glenn's first touchdown where he's jumping up and the lineman caught him. That or a pic of him in the Texas Tech game with 4 on his back.
  8. Wow this is the craziest post i've seen on here. Lucky stronger than Glenn is INSANE. Glenn squated 570 in high school...no way did Lucky do that. I would bet that Lucky didnt bench 350 in Highschool either. Glenn did those in high school and had hardly anyone to work out with because he was stronger than everyone. Sometimes had to have more than one spotter for coaches to let him lift. Trust me...i've seen it. I remember this past year when Glenn went to Nebraska and worked out...ran...lifted weights. Also remember Lucky showing up for a few days...couldnt take it and went home. That work ethic if perfect example of whose going to start. Glenn will out work anyone he needs to. Also you said that Glenn hasnt shown the ability to catch the ball out of the backfield...since when was he given a shot to...running up the gut isnt exactly a chance. Also...did Lucky show that he can do it?? I saw him get passes thrown to him...also saw them hit the ground. I'm downing Lucky because obviously he is a good athlete but he is not stronger than Glenn...might be faster but I wouldnt say by much. And I think someone asked for the 40 times....neither one ran their 40. Lucky had surgery and Glenn wasnt running cause of tweaked hamstring. Glenn will start this year in my opinion, and if he's used in a short yardage game only like this past year...it will be a complete waste.
  9. Watching the Rose Bowl and they just said they had the inside and outside runners in Bush and White... I feel it coming in Glenn and Lucky...Because Bush does alot more than just play RB...like Lucky....White is primarily a RB like Glenn but also has hands to recieve. Its going to be fun next year... Glenn is a back who is too good to just be used in short yardage and goal line...I hope he is not wasted in doing that to him.
  10. I saw it on TV but wasnt sure if that was the first time it was announced so I didnt post it. lol
  11. Lucky had 43 carries for a net yardage of 129 yards. His longest carry was 11 yards and he played in all 12 games. Glenn had 45 carries for net yardage of 131 yards. His longest carry was 10 yards and he played in 7 games. Also second on team in rushing touchdowns with 4....Ross had 5. The stat I would LOVE to see is...the number of times that Glenn got a touchdown or firstdown on the 45 carries he got...I can think of only 5-7 times he didnt get it...which is VERY impressive when EVERYONE knows he is getting the ball.
  12. I have two extra tickets to the game tomorrow...anyone who is interested send me a personal message or email me at jode1506@aol.com Thanks.
  13. Cody Glenn is not a fullback. He is a running back that will run your ass over. He is fast and has lots and lots of power. I think he'll be the starter at the I-back position next year... And anyone who doesnt think he has enough quickness or whatever...look at the run before his TD run against Colorado...where his hole was closed...took it to the outside...it closed off...didnt panic but found and hole....not only HIT it fast...but ran over somone when he got there and made it to the 1. This is going to be great...
  14. I think I read that...it wasnt televised so didnt see it. But its not Glenn's fault that when he comes in they know exactly what play is coming...using him as a decoy or giving him some off tackle or to the outside plays would open up more yardage for him. Then yall, and the rest of Nebraska will see what "C-Train" is about.
  15. I can almost promise it isnt a behavior problem that is keeping him out...I actually cant think of a reason...I'm not a Bill Callahan fan...and some on this board are so I wont say what I want to...but I think it is retarded that Glenn isn't getting the ball more. I really think or hope to see Nebraska next year...and the next...and the next have the running game like Auburn had last year with Cadillac and Brown (I believe)....both great backs and BOTH went in the Top 5 in the NFL draft. If we have that with Lucky and Glenn it'll be great. Also I'd like to see Lucky at a slot to use more of his speed.
  16. How far was Lucky's return that was called back?
  17. Maybe they should let Glenn and Lucky run the ball??? Maybe that stat will change...
  18. I thought it was pretty funny myself...(the gesture...not the hold)
  19. I liked his comments also... But I wouldnt go as far as to say he is bright...I remember waiting on him to make a grade high enough to become eligible to play D1. I agree with him though...That one more step is whats keeping him from breaking one.
  20. Cody Glenn seems to making a pretty good impact... He has yet to be stopped on a attempt for a first down...so he is pretty much "money". Also...not to mention he leads the team in rushing touchdowns with 3 if you check the stats...Ross has two rushing and the rest of his are recieving.
