it's a worry. Smith has to learn not to be so aggressive and get down and save himself. He's extremely competitive and he has a tendency to try and carry the team on his own.

I'm reminded of a statement heard on one of those investment commercials. "Past performance is no guarantee of future success." Last year's numbers are last year's numbers for BOTH teams. I don't think Wyoming will win, but I think they'll beat the spread. But opinions are like ********, everyone has one. Here's to a well fought game with no injuries.

Unfortunately you are correct. Apparently, a lot of so-called Wyoming fans sold their tickets to Husker fans. Just check out the season ticket-holder's parking lot behind the east stands, a lot of empty spaces. Also, a lot of eastern Wyoming residents are in mixed marriages and a lot of them came wearing the red. But what the heck, the AD office still counted the money.

This is probably their bowl game. They're hyped for it.

Wrestling, track, swimming, rodeo and women's basketball. Used to have a National Championship caliber Nordic and Alpine ski teams, but Title IX killed it along with our baseball team. And then there's basketball. We have one national championship. Several NCAA appearances. Down the last few years, but with the recent hire of Larry Shyatt, we'll definitely be back soon. Come to think of it, the last time I went to a Wyoming basketball game was against Nebraska. Wyoming won.

Oh yes. THAT is a deep and meaningful hatred. This stuff with Nebraska is just playing around.

And vice versa as well.

True. Drinks will be had. Look, the Husker fans will be treated with respect. We've gotten a lot of compliments on how cordial the Wyoming fans are to their guests, and that includes teams we've beathen (Ole Miss and Virginia) and teams that have beaten us (Texas and Boise State). Sure there's always a couple of A-holes in every crowd (I'm including Wyoming and Nebraska in this), but generally all will be fine.

Let's be fair. There have been some absolute A-hole posters professing to be Nebraska fans come on Wyoming boards and stir things up. As I stated before, you go into a man's house screaming, "I'M GONNA KICK YOUR ASS!!!", and then you're shocked when the resident of that house reacts with hostility? And, though I don't think many Nebraska fans will see it, a lot of Nebraska fans come off as arrogant. Then there's the fact of geography. As bordering states, there are countless ties between the Wyoming and Nebraska people. A lot of divided loyalties. So, I suspect the Nebraska part of those loyalties have been a pain in the ass over the years. Now, I hate Texas A&M because I have a cousin who is an aggy [sic] and he's unsufferable about it. So I can understand it.
