Lol trust me, I know we are one of these worst Big 10 teams and nothing I’ve stated would give you that idea. It’s hilarious how a team with some of the most passionate and loyal fans should have to lower their expectations from winning 25 games over the last 6.5 seasons. I also know we’ve been ranked a grand total of 1 week in that timespan.

Weird how getting curb stomped and eased up on by Michigan means winning 49-7 every week. Haarberg wouldn’t sniff minutes at a top 25 team. I truly don’t believe Rhule will find success if he doesn’t get his QB following this season. Satterfield and Raiola are both underwhelming. He hired or retained this staff. Aside from the home run hire of White, I’m not impressed with the coaching or adjustments.

Is it the coaching or the lip thing? In all honesty, it’s crazy how quickly I’ve transitioned against Rhule the last 3 weeks. I went from thinking, I’d rather have Rhule than Sanders in the long-run after the CU loss, to wondering how long we’re going to have to keep him around with his 8 year contract. Rhule needs to find his QB of the future very quickly in the portal or on the high school circuit (I’m not high on the Bell West kid), or he will have a tough time finding success.

The college football I used to enjoy is no more. Every QB not at Georgia, OSU, or Bama transferred there. If a freshman goes off at Nebraska, why wouldn’t they accept an offer to jump to a Clemson/Alabama/Georgia? There is no such thing as rebuilds anymore. You’re either here and now, or you’re forgotten about.

If only conference expansion was dictated by women’s bowling

I think people just miss winning in the Big 8/12 than actually wanting to go back. I’d venture to guess our record against Big 10 opponents is in the 40-45% range, which is lousy. No sane poster actually thinks it’s in the university’s best interest.

Whenever I see Rutgers playing football or basketball, I often think to myself “why did the Big 10 invite them to join,” aside from the NYC market idea. Lately, I’ve been wondering how often other fan bases wonder that about Nebraska. Aside from Volleyball, we have done little to nothing in Big 10 sports. Sad times. I hope one day I can be one of those patient fans and have a wait until next year mentality.

I’m worried I might die before Nebraska ever has another winning season. The Big 12 might save that.

I got ran out of the “What did we learn Thread” after Frost lost at Colorado because I said he was in over his head. It’s one of the few times I was right. You just keep making sure them trophies are polished and I’ll keep hoping we don’t lose by 40 when we play a team with a pulse.

If you think Nebraska competes for a National Title in the next 10 years, I’ve got a little real estate in North Korea I’d love to show you. Your entire argument was how some trophies could get some recruits in the door or provide some hope for the future.

There are 68 P5 teams hoping to get to that point every year… if you think trophies from 30 years ago will magically make kids play harder or get recruits in the doors, more power to you.

I remember growing up in the late 90s and my buddies dad was an Arkansas fan and he would talk about how good the razorbacks used to be. When do you stop talking about things won 30 years ago?

I’ve seen the same posts over the years as well. It’s been 20 recruiting classes since arguably our best since Osborne (Suh’s class) and we have a Holiday Bowl to show for it. I think it’s lazy to say “ this was expected.” Vegas expected a 17 point game, FYI.

I think we just need to tamper our expectations and welcome invites to the Potato Bowl with a 5-7 record moving forward
