  1. Zoogs, they don't have a choice at this point. If they overthrow him at the convention, not only would there be mass uproar by voters based on a rigged political system, Trump very well might flip the GOP the bird and run 3rd party. It's a no win situation for the establishment and i couldn't be more happy. Now the Democratic party needs the same thing to happen in 8 years
  2. I have a feeling an unsecured email server may be one of the lesser shady things that she has done to harm our country.
  3. Wow, you are really on a roll with these laughable statements. First off, I will give Obama credit for taking out Bin Laden and other key targets, as any time this is accomplished its putting America First. With that said, Obama would never have caught Osama without the intelligence and interrogation policies put in place by Bush that he and the left strongly opposed. There were countless stories written about this at the time of Bin Laden's death. http://www.redstate.com/dan_mclaughlin/2012/09/05/no-president-obama-didnt-find-osama-bin-laden/ http://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2011/05/05/bush_led_bin_laden_dead_--_wheres_the_credit_109757.html http://townhall.com/columnists/guybenson/2011/05/05/vindication_three_controversial_bush_policies_help_take_down_bin_laden Second, just as Al Quada began to thrive during the Clinton years, ISIS has began to thrive under the Obama years, GROWING BY 4400%, and this according to Obama's own CIA director. http://freebeacon.com/national-security/cia-director-isis-has-grown-4400-percent-under-obama/ Dude, if you are that intent to connect the dots to a Democrat, there's nothing more I can say. I was making an honest attempt to show how American foreign policy tends to operate regardless of the administration in power, and how that muddies our rooting interests. Then again, I said "nobody likes to talk about this" so I shouldn't be surprised. But yes, it amazes me what people think. Agree 100% It's one of the most major problems of the two party system. Instead of working together for the good of the country and its people, we have two groups who each try to vilify the other by pointing fingers. This is called politics. Hence, everything that is wrong with the country on the federal government level is the fault of politicians. that has been one of the main bases of my support for Trump, right or wrong.
  4. Ignorance is not a proper excuse even though some continue to argue that...
  5. Yeah... Definitely taking a wait and see approach on this one as well, but it's not a good story...

  7. I have no idea why Trump won or tied the Evangelical vote in many of the primaries as I would prefer someone with a better personal compass. With that said, I do expect many of those Evangelicals who did not support him in the primaries to get on board as we are down to two deeply flawed candidates, and Trump at least offers a chance to reverse the negative direction this country has been on for years. Hillary will simply offer more of the same. Thus, I do now expect many of those Evangelicals that did not support Trump in the primary to get on board the Trump train. Seriously. I need a Republican to walk me through the negatives that define the negative direction we're heading down, so we can figure out how they happened, how to stop them and/or whether they are actually bad. And I need a good Christian to help me figure out why so many followers of Christ are opposed to feeding the hungry, helping the sick and loving thy neighbor, and instead support candidates who embrace guns, wage war and invite the money lenders INTO the temple. Who is opposed to feeding the hungry, helping the sick, and loving thy neighbor? Let's just say that the math has never added up for me: Iraq War + Gun Violence + Tax Breaks for the Rich = Silence Affordable Health Care = Armaggeddon Affordable health care isn't all too affordable. My family is on Obamacare right now. It is officially $800 cheaper A MONTH than my next best option. Sure as hell isn't perfect, but healthcare before Obamacare wasn't any prettier. It was still killing jobs and stressing the businesses that provided it, and financially crippling people with no options. I am still free to choose a more expensive option than Obamacare, or find a job with benefits. Nothing precious has been taken away from me. Again, Obamacare -- written by and for the private insurance companies -- is nothing more than a slippery slope to marginally better options for hard to insure Americans. Then only reason it got people in a tizzy was an orchestrated campaign to discredit Obama's first big initiative. Much of the Affordable Care Act itself dates back to the Nixon administration putting together the ALTERNATIVE to socialized medicine, and Republicans, including Mitt Romney, used to embrace it as such. With a little cooperation, Republicans could have taken credit for pushing Obama to the center, the petulant Red States would have had the political cover to sign on, and good old-fashioned free-enterprise economies of scale would have kicked in to drive healthcare prices down. That would have been nice. It's not even about cost to the individual. You have to consider the entire picture. Someone can for sure link it to prove me wrong, but Obamacare has an insane added cost funded by the government. In addition, I'm not entirely sure on this, but I've heard from credible sources that intricacies in the bill cause less availability in health care, and I've heard of several doctors who are planning to find new lines of work because of the bill.

  10. I can put words over a random picture of someone to try to make them look bad too http://www.rgj.com/story/news/2015/12/10/fact-check-did-trump-say-98-republicans-dumb/77099822/
  11. Marco Rubio agrees. I like Marco Rubio, but have to disagree 100%. 1) we don't negotiate with terrorists. If theyre terrorists, we should be taking them out. 2) yes, deals are deals. Negotiations are about understanding leverage and utilizing key psychological strategies to get the deal done. I'm completely with Trump on that.
  12. I don't watch or read fox news, but nice try.
  13. I know everything i need to know about Hillary. She has worked inside the government for decades, and I've heard no one claim any positive accomplishment for her in that time. She has been dismissed on at least one occasion for lying, stole a couple hundred thousand dollars of furniture from the white house after Bill's last term, blackmailed women to shut them up, runs a phony foundation that is tax exempt just to benefit herself, accepts money from countries in the middle East to that foundation, .... The list could go on for a long time, and there is nothing positive i could ever think of for her. Instead, she has a career of either failures or evil, self-serving works. There will be a day that a woman gets into the white house, but it won't be this woman.
  14. Last i knew, trump didn't have affairs and then have his wife threaten and blackmail those women to keep them quiet, then his wife turn around and beat the sh*t out of him. It's slightly (majorly) different, and much more despicable.
  15. I see we're getting our daily dose of hyperbole in early today.
  16. As I've stated before, this election is about the worse of two evils. On the one hand you have a bully and blowhard outside the political system that has a history of getting results. On the other hand you have a pathological liar who has spent her career inside the system and has little to show for it. Both candidates are deeply flawed when it comes to their character, and the election will come down to whether Americans want an insider or outsider. That's the thing. What you see on TV and what the media advertises about Trump isn't who he is. There have been countless people who have come forward who have either worked for Trump, worked with him, or been around him, and all of them that I've heard have said that he's one of the most generous, respectful people they've ever met. I tend to listen to those opinions about a persons character before I would ever listen to someone in the media, or a career politician. I prefer to make my own educated decision based on what I see and what I read about in unbiased sources. And on top of that - My gut. Which has been right (not a placebo controlled trial) at least 95% of the time. Not on the supposed rumbles of people who may or may not have met the man behind closed doors on a good day. Why would you think that after he's elected suddenly we'll see this alter ego Trump? The worst in people comes out in stressful times, and it won't get less stressful for him if elected. I can't understand valuing someones opinion, (who you don't know from a hole in the wall) over documented instances and what you can see if you turn on a television or computer. If your mom or your 2nd grade teacher said she'd met him and he was wonderful that's one thing, but random folks - none of which will stand up and say it proudly? Nope. PS, my uncles friend's cousin met Mother Theresa and said she was an absolute loud mouth bully. It's true. One of the other nuns that lived with her said it too. My mechanic told me his neighbor told him so. Why would I not take into account people who have worked along side him and say that he is one of the most respectful, generous people they have ever met? The best example would be from all the women in the smear article from the NYT. They were all quoted out of context, and they all came out and said nothing but good things about him. On top of that, I look at how much his family loves and respects him, and how well he has raised them to be successful business people as well. Ivanka especially is an extremely impressive individual. Finally, the stresses? Really? He has been in high pressure situations his whole life and made out pretty well. I have absolutely zero concern about him handling stress. Yeah.....his wives love and respect him so much they didn't want to be married to him anymore. Who knows what the story is there? Frankly, it's none of our business. Most people wouldn't know, but there is added stress to a marriage when one or both of the spouses is building a business, and in this case, multiple businesses. It's awfully easy to sit on the sideline and criticize, but fact of the matter is, very few people would have been able to accomplish what he has throughout his life.

  19. So in order to contribute positively to the our political process, I have to conform to the ideas of one of the parties when the correct views are usually somewhere in the middle? That's ridiculous. I'd argue that our political system would be much better off if everyone removed themselves from association with these parties and simply voted for the best candidate, regardless if they're a Republican, Democrat, Libertarian, or independent.
  20. I could not possibly care less about what party someone belongs to. If someone ties themselves to one party at all that seems fairly irratizonal IMO
  21. That is not even close to comparable. You're talking about response to a natural disaster vs total negligence to a very specific duty that got people killed.
  22. Not to mention, the data is skewed at this point in time by pure ability and ambition. And by that i mean, right now we encourage everyone to go to college, and the only ones who don't go are either not able to get in or don't have the ambition. Bottom line, as someone who was in a position the past 4 years to help advise students on these choices, i always told them that unless they had academic or athletic scholarships that paid for their tuition and housing, don't go straight to a 4 year college. I always advised them that if they're going to college, go to a 2 year college first, and then if they want, they can transfer and continue on, but most don't need to.
  23. You say it's insane because that's the info that we've been taught and so that's what you're regurgitating. The reason it shows that college grads make more is because doctors and lawyers are lumped into the data and that skews the numbers. Not to mention, not only is 20k in debt (most kids would be very fortunate to only have 20k in debt) a lot for someone who isn't likely to see great returns on that investment, it's the worst type of debt someone can have. It's worse than credit card debt, because you could file for bankruptcy and that student loan debt will still be there, whereas credit card companies are usually willing to settle the debt. I went to juco for 2 years before transferring to a university, and i still came out with 30k+ in debt. That's insane.
