  1. No, that's just idiocy. That's not even losing your head. That's just being an idiot. Jim McMahon was a punk, but that was unwarranted. But why you chose to cherrypick that clip out of all the dirty hits that have occurred is beyond me. If it's because I'm a Packer fan, great. That was certainly during the dark ages of Packer football.
  2. So I ask again: if Dietrich-Smith would have been injured, than should Suh be suspended? It's such a dumb premise that because he didn't hurt the guy, he so obviously had no malicious intent. If he had been injured, then, yes, Suh should be suspended. I'm not saying that head slamming wasn't malicious, because it obviously was, but the fact is that Dietrich-Smith wasn't hurt. The problem I have with the whole situation is that players like James Harrison, Tommie Harris, Hines Ward, Haloti Ngata, Shaun Phillips, Shawn Merriman, and Brandon Merriweather have all done much worse things on the field (things that have actually caused some serious injuries), yet all they got were fines. No suspension, just fines. What Suh did to Dietrich-Smith doesn't even compare to Haloti Ngata punching Ben Roethlisberger in the face and breaking his nose or James Harrison body slamming Mohamed Massaquoi into the ground, yet Suh gets suspended. Complete BS. But it's the principal of it all. He did it. Whether or not he injured the guy is irrelevant. It's like saying you shouldn't go to jail if you shoot someone but they're not injured.
  3. No, they don't. Gunner Kiel decommitted some time ago. That program will continue to be awful for awhile.

  5. To get better jobs. Bowling Green -> Utah -> Florida All moving up the ladder.
  6. Wisconsin was always my favorite B1G team when Nebraska wasn't a member. Wisconsin was actually on my short list of schools out of high school, that out of state tuition was too much though. Yeah, out-of-state is a bitch. We just ended reciprocity with Minnesota, so unfortunately, it looks to be even more Sconnie/Coastie from here on out.
  7. Yea but we have nothing on the Big East. Man that conference has parity, those kids are always beating up on eachother. Maybe someday UW can run with the big boys and join up....someday I think Louisville can play with anyone in the country. Big win against UCONN headlines their resume.
  8. I can't help but think there aren't enough SEC guys on that list.
  9. WRONG. Maybe he meant to TRY to kick him...only he can know that. But evidence/video shows he made little to not contact. So it's factually wrong to say he "stomped on the guys arm". What Suh for sure is guilty of is being a dumbass for even creating the possibility for this misinterpretation. So what are you trying to argue? That Suh had no intention of hitting Dietrich-Smith with his kick?
  10. Actually, the one guy that fell on the sword is where all the violations took place; he is the one that did not report to the proper people. So the players that actually committed the violations aren't guilty then?
  11. First of all, we did not cheat, the head coach lied...there is a difference. Oh, he resigned before he got fired. I fail to see how this hire equals us to Texas? So one guy falls on his sword (when it's pretty obvious NCAA violations took place) and all is forgiven?
  12. snip Better to watch the video than to take a single image out of context. Please explain how that is "out of context". As it's been stated many times....when the foot came down it didn't land on the player in any way that created pain...and from what we know it didn't even touch him. Why do you keep ignoring this fact? Why do I keep ignoring what? That's not a "fact" that it didn't hurt him. It's not a "fact" that it didn't touch him. Why do you keep ignoring the incredibly obvious picture and video. It doesn't lie. I realize the guy's a former Husker, but come on.
  13. *shrug* Just going by 'highest BCS ranking'. I don't really care how they determine the home team. Regardless of the method we'll get one fan base whining ... which is a bonus. No I get what you're saying I just think we have some great stadiums and cities to play in outside of the college towns and we should utilize them. Exactly. And I think we can all agree that's where Soldier Field comes in. Greatest NFL stadium in existence.
  14. Personally I think a Sparty/Badger championship game at Spartan Stadium would be far more compelling than inside a dome at Indy. If I were a masochist, I would agree with you.
  15. BCS bowl committees can take whomever they please so long as the team has 9 wins and is in the top 14 of the BCS rankings. Michigan would be MUCH more attractive (prestige, huge national fanbase, history) than either Boise or K-State. They're almost a lock to grab a spot provided they finish in the top 14, which looks a little shaky right now. BCS bowls only have to take one non-AQ per year, which will be Houston this year. Boise will almost certainly not make it.
  16. Yeah, that's a downward move for sure. Competing with USC year in and year out can either be a hurdle or a challenge though, depending on how you look at it.
  17. Yeah. I'm just happy the Rose Bowl doesn't get the non-AQ team this year, like Wisconsin/TCU last year. That's a lose-lose situation.
  18. Yup, good for the Big Ten as a whole. This will surely mean more prestige, and maybe we can finally break the SEC stranglehold.
  19. The fact that Wisconsin isn't #1 solidifies my belief that the BCS is a complete crock of sh#t.
  20. Argghhh! Probably gonna go jump off a bridge over this one.
  21. I found it to be extremely subjective.
  22. Just a sampling: Just plucked 8 nose hairs at the same time. Might have a shirt made. Might wear penny loafers, no socks with my khakis this weekend. #BielemaB1GIcon Thankful for 1. Me 2.
