  1. I can agree with that. I said i'll, semi-reluctantly, give him a pass in the 2020 class. I'm just not willing to give him a pass for the 2021 class and wait till 2022 class to see results. Just my personal opinion. Which, quite frankly, means absolutely nothing.
  2. I don't think we are far off from each other in our expectations for this class. A 3 man class like you mentioned of a 4-star DE, a development DE (Tobin/Buckley) and a solid nose (high 3starish) would be a step in the right direction and a group I could live with for this class.
  3. Imo that is way too long. Three recruiting classes to get where he needs to be, then two years for the kids to develop/S&C? That's saying you are ok waiting 5-years to see the guys he brings into the fold. You don't wait for the well to be empty before you refill it.... Held, Fisher, Mario, even Rudd to a point hit the ground flying on the recruiting trail. Think all those Florida kids were knocking down the doors to come to Neb? Hell no, Fisher went, busted a$$ and CLOSED to get them here. I am willing to give TT a pass, kind of, for last year.... but it's go time now. However, you are entitled to your opinion and explained it well...we both want the same thing in the long run. Edit: Forgot Austin on list of coaches getting it done. He's landing a nice mixture of studs and developmental guys. Have been really impressed.
  4. That's good to hear. But if Held is closing regularly, why can't T? Obviously this is just my personal/uninformed opinion but seems like wasted energy/effort for no results. Maybe it'll come this class and we are way off, but so far there's little to no traction. Decked mentioned it earlier, maybe he's a development guy that does "more with less".... maybe his time at Cal showed that. Im nervous to fall into being comfortable with that thought though.
  5. I agree with you, i'm majorly disappointed so far. He largely swung and missed last class. He identified Cali/West Coast targets and put in a lot of effort without signing a single one. Thank goodness we had Nash on board and Beckon's Georgia connections for the two HS kids we signed. Because otherwise we were scrambling to plug holes with JUCOs come late fall.
  6. Malcom would be my guess, but it's nothing more than a guess.
  7. Will be interesting to see if Isaiah Newcombe gets an offer soon. Name should sound familar.... Utah and Boise offered recently. ATH, could play either side. Utah wants him at safety. Said in an article the other day that communication with us and UCLA picking up. High 10's 100 guy.
  8. What's this guys story? Woodyard/Williams 2.0 or someone who can actually contribute at this level?
  9. Your gut is wrong, at least as far as who he chooses today. Actually winning this fall could change that.
  10. This probably works out for us. Some talk Auburn was about to go after Haarberg hard, they've been talking to him for awhile.
  11. It really is. Losing what little foothold we had in the Metro.
  12. This one will be interesting (although probably not for us), PSU usually handpicks who they want from Lackawanna each year... they'll have some competition here.
  13. Big class for Dline recruiting imo. Only have taken 4 high school recruits last two class and head into next year with 7 Jr/Sr. Really preferred we would of taken 3 high school prospects in 2020 class, but we whiffed on a few. Can't afford to again.
  14. Sounds like he's got a bunch of non-committable offers, ours included. I'd prefer to keep it that way.
  15. Transferred out of Miami Northwestern. Visiting A&M again this weekend. Looking to visit us and Tennessee. Don't see us being in the mix at the final bell.
  16. We've told him he has an offer on both sides. Right now he prefers D, I think that's where it's coming from.
  17. Staff loves him, I think he does. Was one of the first 2021 guys Frost went and saw in Nov.
  18. Watch for Spring Game fireworks here imo.
  19. Fidone's dad all but committed in that interview with Fong. Was very pro- Nebraska.
  20. Hasn't heard from us since Christmas, other programs are getting involved.
  21. Decomitted from Ole Miss, on FSU visit today.
