Alabama's defense is ranked #1 in total defense. Mich St. is 3rd, and Penn St. is 8th, tOSU is 15th and this weeks opponent is 17th. We have beat some pretty good defenses. So I think we could/should be able to play with anyone. Alabama and LSU would have me possible doubting if we could win, but anyone else, we CAN beat. The only thing I'll say about Bama's defense and others can decide what kind of success NU would have is this. Announced during the game Saturday night was this stat. Since the halfway point of last season, Bama has given up an average of 45 yards a game rushing, and TWO rush TDs. Thinking it would be a long day against that D. Alabama is outstanding, no doubt. They have given up 7 TD's this season, are you kidding me? They are giving up a total of 3.15 yds an attempt, and 181.4 a game. That's insane!!

Maybe we can use standup DE's. Martin, Ankrah, Guy, etc..... Don't rush to hard and get sucked into the center, where DRob can break contain and run to the outside.. I like the idea of the Peso guy being used as a DRob spy. We will have to man up on the receivers but I have been told he cant throw worth a $hti, so that shouldn't matter.

I don't know much abou that, but I do know that the coaches have said he doesn't practice well. The things he learned just two weeks ago he can't remember. Doesn't run the correct routes and doesn't line up correctly.

Ran it at least four times today. PSU was just blowing up the guard/center gaps with fury, and blowing up those gaps when the diamond was ran really hurt the chance of success. Well obviously I missed it, I was at work and had to switch back-and-forth between our game and the Iowa game. Had an Iowa fan in the room............... Fire him!

It is painfully apparent that you don't have the foggiest idea what happened or there is no way you could say he's a classy guy that made an honest mistake. Please go to some of the other threads here, find a link to the grand jury report, read it, and then see if you still feel he is such a classy guy. He could've and should've taken action that would have prevented further harm to an untold number of other children. What he did instead cannot even be classified as human let alone an honest mistake. Save your pity for the young boys who were harmed, their parents, and all of the innocent PSU fans, players, and students who will ultimately be paying the price for what some of these soulless individuals did or failed to do. its the guys opinion and frankly a valid opinion. you, him, nor I have any way of knowing what actually happened at all and yes ive read the report. im not saying that joe is innocent but i cant say that he is guilty without a shred of doubt either. innocent until PROVEN guilty as they say. imo the heat should definitely be on sandusky but i question whether joe should have been fired considering that he did everything that was required to do from his employer. it doesnt matter that it was immoral and wrong, the fact that he met the guidelines for his job at that particular point in time. jmo. Let's not put the wagon in front of the horse just yet. We have to still beat Northwestern (should not be a problem), and Penn St. and I believe their defense is fairly stout. To the OP, I don't think Iowa has a chance in hell of winning the game. Since that seems to be the case, a Mischicken win is better just for SOS.

Hello to all the NEW and OLD (no I'm not singling you out GRO) faces. Checked on HP one last time and it is officially down. I have heard good things about this site (new home) so here I am. I hope to be more "myself" than before. I love one liners!!! Love Husker football talk, and threads that are just fun, like this one has turned into. I think that is the one thing that was missing at HP. Don't have to be dead serious all the time. Anyway, glad to be on board!!!
