  1. 20yrs. He would be 104. I give him less then 5 years. On second thought, JoePa might never die. ^This just got done re-watching Penn st./bama and I think brad nessler said JoPa walks 6 miles a day at the age of 84. I don't care who u are thats impressive. I hope ill be able to walk 6 feet a day when I'm 84. Jeesh!
  2. Chit I forgot all about Jackson! But I think we definitely take Seisay as EZ stated on his thread Seisay's JUCO coach is allowing him to skip his game Sat to come to ours so consider him pretty much in. At this point we need all the Dbs we can get so I dont see the coaching staff turning too many away if they want in. They could get creative if necessary and maybe talk Barney's kid into taking a greyshirt if necessary. We've built our young talent up on O and now its the D's turn.
  3. COHusker: if you look at his film, he attended a camp in Boise as it was on their disturbing blue turf. That and the promise to his sister probably had something to do with it.
  4. Thanks for the awesome insight guys! I will probably just try to get em right before kickoffs. When i lived in St. Louis for 4 years, I never once purchased for Cards games online. Got one every game I went to after the 1st inning started and it was great value. Will probably have to miss the Tunnel Walk, but no biggie.
  5. Caveman, I think if he wants in we have to take him. Gray runs a sub 4.4 (clocked at 4.37) and is tall enough where he can add another 15-20lbs and still keep his speed. From the film I've seen, he is great in press coverage and gets off his blocker and is excellent in run support. As you said Seisay is basically N at this point, but Sean Callahan has said we will take up to 18. With 8 commits now say by some act of God we got all 4 of these CBs we'd be at 12. That leaves room for six more. That's not a lot, but with Fonso leaving we will need all the DB's we can get. Not to mention, with all of the running teams in the BIG, our corners will be providing run support much more than in the Big 12, leading to the greater possiblity of injury. However, I really don't think we get Beaver. He would be an awesome addition, but I believe he stays on the west coast. If we get Seisay, Rios, and Gray, our CB class would be very solid and I would be very happy.
  6. Yea this kid would be a great get. #20 in the nation at his position. Has good size and seems like he is always around the ball. Is excellent in run support, which, as ive think we've seen in the BIG this year, is a definite must. Someone needs to tell Pepin to get on the ball and offer his sister if it will seal the deal!
  7. Free info from rivals board today. Sounds like we have a decent shot and that Jordan is a nice goal-oriented young man with a good head on his shoulders. Will announce at the Army AA game: http://footballrecru...asp?CID=1288203
  8. ^^^^ Thanks for the advice skers. I will look for them.
  9. I was in Columbia in 2007. Lived in St Louis at the time and was talking all kinds of smack to my friends. Needless to say it was all for not as we were bent over 41-6. The game was horrible not only b/c we lost, but b/c in my opinion Mizzou fans are the worst fans in football and because I had GA tickets that game which means I had to sit on those stupid rocks in their high school stadium. At halftime was bumped into and talked yelled at by a 50 yr old woman who was completely hammered (admittedly so was i) and almost got in a fight with a 13 yr old kid that was talking sh** the entire 2nd half. Finally I was like "where's your dad" and he goes "right behind you" LOL. Luckily my girlfriend was there to keep me out of trouble. Then to top it all off, on the way out of the stadium there was literally a bum selling a Mizzou shirt with their mascot pissing on poor Herbie. That sent me over the top and I went off. Then my girl and I got in a screaming match which had to look like something off Maury since I was in my Neb gear and she had on a Mizzou shirt. Worse night of my life. Only positive was that game was the start of the streak that led to Callahan getting fired. Conversely, the best game I was at was the Miracle in Mizzery in 97. Was a freshman at Truman State just down the road in Kirksville. Met my dad in Columbia and had a great time (after halftime of course). Anytime I'm having a bad day I just think back to the end of regulation when all the fans stormed the field and were then tackled and cuffed by the cops for trespassing. Priceless.
  10. Hi everyone! Longtime lurker, first post. I'm planning on going to the game this Sat and was wondering if anyone recommends scalping tickets. There are a bunch available on Stubhub but I don't feel like paying their bend me over fee. Anyway, just wondering if I could get some advice. Thanks everyone and I'm very excited to be part of this board. There are a lot of quality posters on here with excellent insight. BTW my Weimadors name really is Rex. Can't stiff arm you, but he's one bell of a good dog.
