  3. So.....because we have QBs who can hopefully be more consistent in being able to complete important passes........we now won't have RB development? No. Because we have an OC who'd rather throw the ball and has a running game that gives the RBs precious little chance to create big plays who will now have a QB who can actually throw it.
  4. Pretty good article - it's free if you'd like to read it. HS coaches would like a lot of the same things. Some college coaches as well. Most make too much sense to ever happen.

  6. OK....I am not buying that. I would need to see what exactly they are looking at when comparing schools. I would absolutely be shocked if Nebraska schools were worse than states like Louisiana and Mississippi. I tried to read through it a bit and I'm pretty sure it has to do with how they are awarding their "medals." Looks to be based significantly on a couple tests that I'm not sure are offered everywhere.
  7. I don't know but I don't think I'd put a lot of time into McKee. Not a talent concern, just not worth the effort, imo. Won't be here until 2020 (if ever) and you have no idea what else might happen in that time period. Not to mention the fact that I think it will be extremely hard to pull him away from BYU or somewhere on the West Coast.
  8. Said BYU and North Carolina are recruiting him the hardest. Plans to visit North Carolina, Georgia and South Carolina soon.
  9. Said his top three are Florida State, Ohio State and Alabama. Said Nebraska has "jumped" recently and will be here for the Spring Game.
  10. Kind of nit-picky - and you might have meant it kind of as a joke - but the budget is balanced. What actually happens is a different story. A lot of the complaints about taxes are with property taxes which don't have anything (directly) to do with the state's budget. Sounds like it's pretty much a forgone conclusion that UNL will take a pretty good hit.
  11. Because it better fits his skill set or because that's where we project to have room? A little bit of both. Quite a few pretty good DL prospects out there plus at least one college coach (not on our staff apparently) thinks he's a better OL prospect.
