  1. That didn't take long. First of many, I would guess.

  3. I had seen the completion percentage stat somewhere before but Sam brought it up again and adds INTs, which is interesting. OWH TA has 12 INTs for the year. Same number he had last year in basically the same number of attempts. Sam's point was the first thing I thought of when I saw the completion percentage stat before: When we're working off the script - the plays we practiced, likely in that order - during the week, our passing game works pretty well. When we start having to adjust on the fly, things go downhill in a hurry. TA's completion percentage is up slightly - one completion every two games - from last year. Yards per attempt and QB rating are down slightly.
  4. Umm, most of those guys weren't in the right position to be earning a scholarship offer right out of high school. The only one that showed any type of D-1 talent in high school was Janovich. Now, I give those guys a lot of credit for working hard since getting to NU, and many guys are late-bloomers, but most of them didn't deserve scholarship offers out of high school. And most of the guys in Dirk's article were in the exact same boat. That's my point.
  5. Still going to take his visits and decide in January. At least that what his coach thinks he's going to do.
  6. If he's the silent commit, he sure has his HS coach fooled.
  7. Not really sure about this. We currently have one in state commit for 2016. We (apparently) have lost out on the two highest rated in state recruits and don't seem to have any others at the top of our list. And they aren't inviting as many Nebraska kids to visit for games. It's still early but I don't think there's anything to show improvement with on state guys so far.

  9. With the week off, the coaches will be out and about. Stewart headed to Florida to check in on DB commit DiCaprio Bootle and new DE offeree Terrell Lucas. Then it's cross-country for Stewart to see S Lamar Jackson in Cali. Banker will also head to Cali to see S commit Marquel Dismuke and 2017 WR Keyshawn Johnson Jr. Banker will be at Lackawanna College (Pennsylvania) and Pima College (Arizona - S Markell Simmons) before checking in on the Calabasas crew. Williams will be in Cali to see WR commit Derrion Grim then on to Dallas for WR Zach Farrar.
  10. I agree, but the thing to remember is that he is still not playing with his players. Parker & Shields are from Doc. Both are good players, but Parker would not be here if it was not for Doc. Miles likes taller guards who can handle the ball & shot. It is great that we are now becoming competitive in basketball! Year four and you're still sticking with this? Besides the fact that Shields is one of our best players, if Benny is still playing either Miles likes him or hasn't recruited anyone better. This line is pretty tired.
  11. Here's another thing to consider: Do you know what other guys "should" have gotten a Husker offer but didn't? Guys like Brandon Reilly, Andy Janovich, Jack Gangwish, Dylan Utter, Chris Weber and Ross Dzuris. But then people are complaining that we're playing too many walk-ons and that we don't have enough talent on the team. Just has to be spun whatever way you want to be able to complain.
