  1. Thanks for that! It's nice to know that not everyone is so uptight around here.*s* Nebraska by 30, 'eh? Hmmm I don't know about that ... you might have gotten lucky last night, but come Saturday the Michigan State Spartans are a-gonna show you farm boys how to play football. It won't be pretty!:-) Go Green!
  2. That's really something. I don't like coaches that think they can disrespect players. Sometimes one sees a coach getting in a player's grill by grabbing their jersey and laying heavy verbal abuse on them. And I always wish for the abused player to wait for the coach to make a mistake, like calling a bad play, and then go over to him and pick him up by his rude, pointed head and slam him into the turf and, of course, preferably on national TV.
  3. on Saturday! It could be the mother of all blowouts! Actually, I'm just giving you fine Husker fans the raspberries (as Eddy Haskel might say), though I do suspect (and hope!) it'll be a way more fun and exciting game than the one that was played last night. I'm looking forward to it! Go Green!;-) MSU 27, UN 20
  4. I don't believe that's true. What I'm talking about is they get down in their stance and then stand back up and then behave as if they're under some type of spell ... . Anyway, I don't want to beat it to death.
  5. This type of atrocity with Hoke putting that terrified, unskilled, unprepared player in there like that not only guarantees a loss, but it also does major damage in the recruiting war. I know up until now the experts are saying Michigan has done wonderfully in that regard (though it's hard to figure when there are no 5-star blue-chippers committed), but when prospective players see a game like this they've gotta be thinking, "Judas priest, what an utterly inept coaching staff! I'll take my talents elsewhere to better my chances of making it into the Pros." Btw, does anyone know of a link that lists the IQs of D-1 college football coaches?
  6. Thanks. I've never seen teams do that before until I saw Utah doing it.
  7. Yes, I took some liberty with that, so what? But don't go stupid and start putting words in my mouth; I never said the team as a whole was bad, only the backup QB and the buffoon of a coach that didn't have the sense to put Garnder in there instead. And if in your mind that somehow relates to self-pity then take it up with your shrink, because I can't help you.
  8. I apologized on account of the spectacle not having much luster due to hoke putting a kid out there that I'm not sure ever touched a football before in view of his pathetic throws and the terror in his eyes. Maybe you're okay with that sort of thing, but I prefer an actual game that's exciting.
  9. A few times Nebraska lined up and were set and then seemingly for no reason they'd pull up and everyone would look over at the bench and then they'd get back in their stances. I first saw this same thing with Utah a couple of weeks ago. They'd be in their stance ready to snap the ball when suddenly everyone goes into a weird loll mode and looks towards the bench, and then play would resume. And they were doing it on nearly every play. Anyone know what that's about?
  10. This is the MOST pitiful performance I've seen in ages!! This clown bellomy ought not even be on the field, much less be the Michigan backup QB!! What a pathetic joke! hoke is someone I've always suspected as being retarded, but now I know for sure! Devon Gardner is the backup QB that should be in there, not this clown from Texas!! Pitiful! Absolutely pathetic!!!!!!!
  11. its telling me that I cant watch it on espn3 Go to [link redacted] and click on the American football link at the top and then scroll down.
  12. -------------- Pretty cool! They're cute little things.;-) Thanks for sharing!
  13. I don't know what IIRC means but I'll Google it. So the QB's dad actually sold those? That's kinda funny.
  14. What's Hokie up to putting a fragile DR on kick-offs? I'd hate to see him get hurt:-) GBR!! I guess he likes his speed and moves and feels like the upside is too good to pass up. But then again, it could be that the author of that blurb I read didn't have his facts straight. We'll see.
  15. that some of the lovely Nebraska ladies used to wear? I really liked 'em but I never see 'em anymore and was wondering if maybe they've been banned for being uncouth or something. (Not to be fresh, but one would have to think those didn't hurt the cause when it came to recruits visiting the school.:-) Here's to a great game tonight -- wish I could be there!-- and let's hope no one gets hurt and that the Refs do a great job of officiating!
  16. I wonder if one or both teams might come out a little flat because they both had wins last week that might have been pretty emotionally draining. In this game I think there'll be a pretty good chance that Denard R. will return some kick-offs, at least that's what I read the other day. If he does, I hope the Huskers will show some mercy and not slam the little guy too hard to the turf, as he does need to stay healthy for his QB job.:-)
  17. "Please enlighten Huskerboard ONE decent offense they have stopped all year... I won't be holding my breath for this." If I'm not mistaken, in their last 3 or 4 games they have pretty much put the clamps on opponents. I'm not saying that they're spectacular, only that Nebraska will have a tough time putting more than 17 points on them. At least that's what I think. Go Blue!
  18. Michigan's D will be swarming and effective. You'll see.
  19. will be the difference in the game. I sure am looking forward to the game, nothing like the fun and excitement of college football on an autumn evening ... with the venue plopped right in the middle of fabulous Nebraska -- and with the whole world watching! Bring your sweaters ... and LET THE BLOWOUT BEGIN!;-)
  20. Sea of red. At home. Night game. I expect Nebraska to handle Michigan, winning by at least 4 TDs!
  21. It brings me no joy to remind anyone of what I said following last season's dismal performance of the BigTen, but seeing the start we've gotten off to at this point it does appear that my gloomy prediction isn't going away anytime soon. This conference, football-wise, has entered a place whereby it'll be mocked by many until it's finally either dissolved or placed in a lower tier of competition, as the trajectory seems painfully obvious. (And just watch what happens tomorrow!:-( I glanced at what someone around here wrote the other day about the SEC basically having an insurmountable advantage in that their academic standards are so low that they can more often than not accommodate "dummies" to suit-up and bring glory to their (football) programs, while pretty much the rest of the conferences don't have such a built-in advantage. And while I personally haven't looked at the data regarding the matter, I suspect there's a fair amount of truth to the claim. Anyway, with the exception of what's going on with football, everything else about the conference looks splendid ... and who knows?, maybe if we can somehow come together on pretending that the sport of football doesn't really matter that much to us, we can snooker the rest of the world into taking another look at the glory found in some of the sports where we do excel, such as basketball or water polo, and thus resurrect our pride and dignity by taking things in a new and glorious direction! Go Blue!;-)
  22. Okay. You've convinced me. I'm a terrible person. I shall close my account and never return.
