  1. Wrong. I'll (maybe) come back to rub your nose in this incorrect prediction when it's beyond doubt. So....I'm assuming you think Trump is going to beat Hillary. Or....are you banking on her being indicted and have to drop out? I'd guess the first, because I doubt she will be indicted (even though she should). The match-up is loaded with unusual high variability possibilities. The first major event I anticipate is for the FBI to refer her for indictment to the Justice department. That will IMO put an end to her chances to win the general. Obama should indict her (will be his call if it's not done) but he may not anyway. If O doesn't do it the crap storm from the FBI would be epic. Trump...his detractors grossly underestimate his skill at tearing apart his competition and Hillary is by far the most target rich (something else that is grossly underestimated by Dem's).
  2. Holy cow. I expected 8. Vegas must love a year 2 Mike Riley.
  3. NU -2 is the early line on this game. I like seeing Vegas having a bit of confidence in NU. (we are +2 and +4 vs. Wisky) Seems OU strength is at running back. Keep him and our turnovers in check and we should win (by 1 point with 14 seconds left on the clock).
  4. Wrong. I'll (maybe) come back to rub your nose in this incorrect prediction when it's beyond doubt.
  5. It's the opposite of what you said. To be anti-political-class is exactly the TOP thing that is on the mind of voters who know what's really going on. Whether you want more or less government you would know you want different people doing it rather than the incompetents and thieves in the game today. Ted Cruz and Carson ran on that. Trump support is mostly coming from the anti-political establishment crowd (and stop the drugs and return private sector jobs to Americans voters). Hillary can't and isn't trying to run on that. Sanders is running against large for profit business. He has no answers for DC corruptions and certainly not largess. DC needs to shrink Sanders says it needs to grow. Sanders has only a sliver of correct focus that being on some (far from all) of the purchasers of DC's favor. Most of the huge money donations are from and to Dems. All the the left coast money, Buffet, and half the NY money is D. Plus lawyers and union money. Plus the free media they've gotten since the 60's and it continues today. You do not correct/improve large groups of problem people (DC today) by hiring more of them and giving them more power. I don't listen to Bernie much but I haven't once heard him talk about huge problems OF the government. Lawlessness. No transparency. Overpaid. Underqualified. Etc. Anything possible to be wrong with the Fed is wrong with it.
  6. Tom, his new department is not an academic department. He's not on any academic track. That said his appointment as head of the new department makes perfect sense. His topical skill is excellent and his management skill is irrelevant so far, and not of much relevance any time in the near future. If he does well, quickly, he could be in a way a next Boyd Epley for NU. NU needs to be the BEST in some things to get to the top as our recruiting location problem is permanent and significant. I'm starting to wonder (and hope) if NU's increases in recruiting wisdom/effort/tactics/spending may not also become an important "best."
  7. haha. Yes, I believe he was. aTm or Kentucky.
  8. Has Clinton been indicted yet? What's the hold up?
  9. Rivals has recruit data available to 2003 which was FS's last full class. NU ranked 42nd (on "teams by rank" page but 45th on NU's recruits page). 4 4*, 12 3*, plus 3 others. 4*s were Bo Ruud, Mueller and Teamer from NE and Schuler from SD. 2 6th round and one 7th round draft picks came from that class. NU's decline would have continued under Frank IMO.
  10. Exactly. X is correct about (everything) the derpiness of the electorate. If not for that his/her stories wouldn't have occurred.
  11. Tom picked Frank. Frank killed the golden goose. Blaming Perlman or even Pedey for the decline is misplaced. NU's decline rests on Frank and also Tom for insisting on FS. When things go south it is the norm, not the exception, that things aren't quickly and fully repaired. OU. ND. Mich. Bama. USC. ALL TEAMS have gone south and they usually do NOT return quickly. Perlman says Pedey had a wow hired lined up. Guy backed out. So Pedey shares blame with Mr. coldfeet on NU's ?? decision to fire Frank without a locked in upgrade replacement (but coaches are usually fired without a locked in upgrade replacement btw since locked in means contract signed).
  12. Well crap I thought we'd win this one until I read your post.
  13. Dungy would have been great IMO but I doubt it was him. He only began in Indy in 2002. I found the article to be very interesting (I'm not in the Perlman is a lying idiot camp btw, and I know there are many highly paid lying idiots). He's pretty upbeat on Riley and gave some good reasons.
  14. Austin Rose earned the highest event score of all (men), 740, in pro agility. If he can't get on the field at RB hopefully they move him and see if he can do it at another spot. Husker's website lists him at 6'1" and 225 so there are plenty of options. Tommy's scores scream that he should run more (plenty of talk about that already of course).
  15. http://collegefootballnews.com/2016/post-spring-college-football-ranking-128-teams CFN's post spring practice rating 1-128. NU at 24 (Pete Fiutak must be a smart guy).
  16. I hate bird shows. They are too parroty. You guys have to make a damn joke about everything!!! Pull my finger! You know...Without Riley around none of the players would know how to pull a finger. But they knew about pointing fingers and thumbs.
  17. Seems reasonable that POB didn't beat out Fyfe in April yet still may well do that in August. Just have to wait and see. NU's best shot at a "very good" or better season this year almost has to be Tommy starting and producing his best ever results (aided by careful play calling that best suits him). We all want a BIG title of course and that's not just up to NU but also to the competition in the league. MSU, OSU and Wisky will all be weaker in 2016 compared to recent years. It's not really the ideal year to hope for it considering NU's team but considering the competition, it is.
  18. Have a cup of coffee Matty then you will know. omg ha These games are of course not on BTN they are the announced prime time mickey mouse BIG games. BTN never gets the highest profile games such as these. These are the top of the "tier one" games.
  19. Two key points I took away from both the Bowl game and the Spring game. They're going to be more careful with TA throwing the ball and less careful with him running the ball. Better late than never, I guess. Sounds like Mike has an even greater respect now for being careful to avoid TA (and Fyfe) picks turnovers. Here's that quote again from the article. “And heading into this year, we really have to be really, really careful."
  20. Water sucks. Gatorade is better. Orange slices. Chocolate milk. We could go on and on.
  21. I wish cm got a job as Bo's waterboy in Youngstown. heh
