  1. Bo getting 9 wins for the 5th stright year and for all the people who said this team would win 8 or fewer. What do you got to say now.
  2. 50,000 huskers fans think a football is 15 minutes. Football is 60 minutes. You can play like sh#t for 58 but if your in the game, you can win the game. Husker fans still dont get it. How many fans were crying like pussies when it was 27-10? This who whole husker board.
  3. f#*k the media. Its all tabloid driven garbage with those paparazzi scumbags.
  4. Some fan wants Kevin Cosgrove back on the post game. Thats what im talking about. Some fans will never be happy no matter what. This game was never close. Now on to Idaho.
  5. Just like the media that coach Bo hates, every thing so damn negative. 1st game of a new season with new players. 39 point win. Not good enough. D holds team to 1 td and 1 fg. Not good enough. O has over 500 yards. Not good enough. This team is the 8th ranked team. Not # 1. There is alot to fix but every team has alot to fix. New season same old sh#t. 11-3 with a bowl win.
  6. Today the Huskers ran 40 running plays and 14 passing plays. The reason for being 9-3 is because of the three things you need to win in football. Have a defense that can stop the run and limit tds in the red zone. Bo will have a defense for what ever long he is Head Coach. He knows defense. Just look at all the defensive recruits that are coming in. Young fast defense. # 2 special teams. A reliable special teams goes a long way. A 3rd of football but nobody really talks about. Just look a one person. Alex Henry. Watch All Big 12 kicker and punter!! Tell me who is better at kicking fields goals and those sick coffin corner kicks. He will be drafted in the NFL. 3rd the most important. Running the ball. If Bo starts recruiting tough run blocking lineman, Nebraska will become a beast of a team. The old Nebraska teams ran the ball 60 times and passed 10 times. Running the ball opens up the pass plays. Play action works. To me Nebraska wanted to become a passing team instead of a running team. You can Run 40 times and pass 20 times a game. Just picture next year with Green, Helu, Rex and Robinson running the ball 40 times. Passing to Paul, Kinnie, ( hey Wats, this kid could be like Purify but you only pass the ball to him 2 times), McNeil( same thing. He should average 5 catches a game), and some young recivers like Cooper and Bell. If Nebraska sticks to this formula they will be at lest 90% back. To win every coach says , to win the game you have to run the ball and stop the run. In reality Nebraska has a A in defense and speacial teams and a F in offense. This team might be 1-11. Just think of that. This offense sucks. GO BIG RED. Lets kick Texas ass next week even in defeat. Leave it all on the feild. BSC bowl with win.
  7. Going into the season the Huskers thought they had a 1-2 punch of Helu and Castille with Burkhead as the 3rd back. Just think of what that could have been like with 35 rushes a game. But Castille was kicked off the team. Helu has been hurt and Burkhead is out. Now the team has to rely on a average passing. Untill the running game is figured out, this offense will have no idenity.
  8. What history will say of his Husker carrer? A five star player who came after AP left Oklahoma. Big pressure by fans who thought the Husker might have a AP in Lucky. Well the Huskers didn't get an AP but a Roger Craig. A running back who could run and catch the ball. Lucky just wasn't a first and second down running back. He could play all 4 downs. As time went on his pass protection became better. Top five in several school records. Lucky might not have lived up to the hype, but he was no bust either. A- carrer. Good Luck to Marlon as a third down back in the NFL. He should be able to make the NFL.
  9. If you go to Huskers.com and check out the Gator bowl pictures, you would see on the last page just how close the wide receiver came to catching the ball. It was in one hand and the other was just right there. For how much we bashed O'Hanlon, this dude saved the game. BIG RED is coming back and ready to kick some f'ing ASS in the future. Bleed RED forever. 2009 Big 12 North Champions.
  10. Being also a PATS fan and HUSKER fan being the underdog is always better.
  11. The Offense rankings through 11 games. Total Offense 10th Rushing 39th Passing 12th Scoring 19th The Defense rankings through 11 games Total Defense 68th Rushing 51st Passing 90th Scoring 88th But the real stat to look at is 3rd down conversion. The Offense is completing 49% of it's chances. The Defense is at 35%. Those are pretty good 3rd down numbers.
  12. The players and coaches wont quit. ITS THE FANS that will.
  13. I brought this up durning the week and what happens is, if you spread the whole defense out it allows bigger running gaps and gets you playmakers into space. It might not be like Missouri's but Nebraska did run pretty good out of this formation. This type of offense does have potental with the players we have.
  14. Who runs some sort of spread offense in the Big12. Missouri, Kansas, Colorado, Oklahoma, Oklahoma St., Texas Tech, Baylor, and Texas A&M? Every day those Defenses are practicing against the spread. What does Nebraska do everyday. Practice against the WCO. What I'm saying is Nebraska needs to practice against the spread more and not just during game week. Or every year you will see Nebraska get its ass kicked by these teams.
  15. Just thinking about how the Huskers can beat teams that run the spread and I started thinking. What made Nebraska allways beat teams with the option? All the teams never ran the option. You can't defense the option in only 1 week. Most team defenses pratice against what offense there running. Take for instance Nebraska back in the day. Every day the defense faced the option. They knew what to look for and how to stop it. Today Nebraska only practices against the spread the week of the game. How is a year of work for Missouri like teams to work on the spread to Nebraska's week of practice for the game? If Nebraska ran the spread and faced it everyday do you think it would know the in's n out's of the spread? Just think 4 wide receivers. Swift, Peterson, Holt, Paul. 1 tightend. McNeil. Run pass option with Ganez and Lucky. This style of offense can be better than the WCO. The defense would practice against it everyday and when gametime comes, they wouldn't look like chickens with there heads cut off. Just a thought. Win or lose GO BIG RED. 25 years of cheering for the Huskers and counting.
  16. Alot of people say that day in Boulder in 2001 the Husker program changed. So I went back and checked what the Husker record is and it is 47-37. In 84 games the Huskers are just 10 games over .500. The numbers don't lie. Nebraska football is a middle of the pack football program. That is why the Huskers are 0-10 vs Top 10 teams. Right now Nebraska can only beat the lesser programs and loses to the top tier teams and split the games when the teams are even. This slide will be a 10 year slide and around 2011 I hope with recruiting and a winning attitude the Huskers can and will come back to winning conference titles.
  17. We like to allways blame the coach but this team is average at best. I like Bo but this team is average at best. The caoch can only do so much.
  18. Right now Nebraska football is average at best. It all started that day in Boulder in 2001 and has gone down hill ever since. Nebraska has no idenitey on offense. No play makers on defense. Looks like 5 years before Nebrska wins 9 games in a year. People expect 6-6 5-7 for the next 5 years. That the reality.
  19. We might lose this game last year. This year we win and hold a spread offense to 1 touchdown and 2 field goals. This team is coming of a 5-7 season
  20. Remember the Huskers went 5-7 last year. What do you expect? 23 point win and the Huskers were 26 point favorites. 4 more sacks, 2 more turnovers. 2 fields goals, 1 touchdown given up. Last year maybe the Huskers win 35-34. Remember this team was 5-7.
  21. San Jose St 7 Drives - 5 punts, 1 turnover, 1 fg. Nebraska 7 Drives- 2 punts, 1 turnover, 2 tds, 1 kickoff return td , 1 gameover drive. Nebraska outscores San Jose St. 21-3. First 3 quarters was bad but when the game was on the line the Huskers score 21 4th quarter points.
  22. Nebraska does sell shirts in black. I have 9 black 6 red and 1 white. 8 of though black shirts are BLACKSHIRTS t-shirts. People do wear black Nebraska t-shirts.
  23. The Huskers need to hire a tough minded defensive coach who can motivate the players with fear and will. Callahan only cared about the offense and let the defense go to hell and still the only thing on his mind was the offense. The Huskers need a coach who can scheme a game plan to match the spread offenses that have tooken over the Big 12 and pretty much college football. Bringing back the spread option to Nebraska isn't what Nebrska needs right now. It's a coach who can game plan for all the spread offenses or Nebrska will be like Texas Tech. 8-4 every year. What's the saying "Defense wins championships". Your team takes on the personality of your head coach. Just my two cents.
  24. This is how stupid this coaching staff uses these players. Purify today had 7 catches 158 yards and 3 tds. Mo should be having these numbers every game. Having a 6' 4 recevier, you should be having mismatches every game. Holt is 6'4, Will Henery 6'5 but Callahan just haves these guys just sit on the bench. Mo should play every play but some how Cally just dosen't get it. Culburt and Thenarse just sit on the bench. Talent just wasted. Castille had what 1 play today? This team has talent but is not being used right. Just 2 more games and these clowns are gone. How many guys are just being wasted on the bench?
